I recently installed one of my E8400s into the Maximus Formula X38, which had success with the CellShock 8000 kit, so I may have to see if I can't do 541FSB and 650MHz on the memory.

Good luck with it Shiranui I hope you can get it to happen. I was pretty stoked when it finished the run. I really want to see 650 MHz so I am going to try for 542 FSB / 651MHz but I think my CPU isn't stable at 542+ so I may not be successful. I wish I had a nice e8600 to play with.

loc.o - very nice work. 600 CL4 is hard to get 32M stable, must have been really nice ram to only need 2.32v for that.

i've been seeing those and similar from you in these forums and they are very nice results, loc.o.

    CryptiK,
that seems like you have a much better overclocking ram kits than mine, i couldn't overclock my ram kits in p5q-d.
tried replacing board but the ram overclocking results from 2nd board just came out the same, i'd never gotten a decent ram overclocking above ddr1200 and also stable enough to run a superpi 32m with p5q-d's like that.

anyways, here are couple of 2x1GB 550FSB DDR1300+ overclocking results from ep45-ud3r...

Looks like those drive strength options really reduce the amount of VDIMM needed for high 32M-stable clocks.

Yes I'm pretty happy with the way these kits are performing. They do the same with my M2F. I'd love to try them on a UD3P.

Your results are great, 32M 660MHz at only 2.4v is very nice. As Shiranui said the drive strength settings that board has really improves ram clocking and reduced vdimm required for any given speed. I also find the fact you only need 1.30v vNB for 550 FSB/660 Mhz ram 32M stable really impressive, my boards need 1.45 - 1.5vNB for that. A2 vs A3 chipset most likely.

My first posted benchmarks using my replacement OCZ FlexXLC 9200 kit that turned out to be D9GMH. I have a feeling these sticks will be able to do 1300+ with out VDIMM being too ridiculous.

    nice job

Those seem like some nice sticks there, can you pass memtest with those settings ?.

Man im having trouble deciding if i want to go ddr3 or stay with ddr2. Running some ddr3 right now at 1633 i see no peformance gains over ddr2 1200 mgz. I think you have to get up into the 1800-2000 range at 7-7-7, or 8-8-8, to really see the benifit of ddr3.

Picked up some cellshock 1066s the other day, gotta say i love these sticks, doing my homework on this purchase has paid off grandly so far. Led me to a couple of new hwbot trophies

Im still in the process of tweaking these, but im hitting some barriers. So far i've got them upto 621 with 5-5-5-15. No matter what i do, i cant get stability over 621, more volts, looser timings, down clocking nb/htt/cpu, nothing so far will get me booting past 621. I havent messed with every single timing yet, there's still the more obscure timings like read2read, read2write, write2precharge and such, gonna play with them some more later, wanted to get some benching in with them with what i had. But i'd like to figure out whats holding me back. The 621 is stable with 2.24v, Spi will throw errors at 2.0v, but it doesnt blue screen. Spi is kinda picky in that way.

So far though, im lovin these new sticks, and lookin forward to breaking 650 in the near future

I managed to get 542 FSB / 650.4 MHz to pass SPI32M using the P5Q-Deluxe. Used 50ps delay on all ram channels and 1.44vNB (PL10 run) and 1.50vNB (PL8 run). I may have been able to use less I didn't test minimum vNB required for the given settings. Only 2.24 vDimm was required (DMM measured) using one of my CellShock PC8000 CL4 GKX kits.

    SPI32M @ 542 FSB, 650.4 MHz, PL10

    WaterFlex, thanks.

    Shiranui Gen-An, CryptiK,

the drive strength option settings in bios i usually left at auto which's a non-specific setting
this option setting in UD3x boards as far as i can see it's a volltage setting profile's, if i manual set PLL, VTT and MCH including Vcore, Vdimm i don't load the profile.

That's odd, I assumed drive strength just affected drive strength. So you're saying when you set the drive strength setting (profile) it changes all of the voltages you mentioned? If you manually set the voltages you mentioned, what happens when you then set the drive strength profile? Does it override the parameters you previously set manually?

@ Shiranui - with that run @ 533 FSB/640 MHz, did you have 'large system cache' enabled? What PL was that at (I'm assuming 8) and what was Ai Clock Twister, Static read control and Dram read training set to?

you assumed i assumed but i think you are right and i was wrong, what was i thinking there, this due to when i tried the option setting before i was try it at 375FSB,
1st i tried 375fsb ddr2-1200 and leave all voltage setting at auto but set driving strength profile option to OC-1200 (driving strength profile option are: ddr2-667, ddr2-800 ddr2-1066, OC-1200, OC-1333), and once i was within windows i checked the ET6, and the voltages settings were: PLL 1.75/ VTT 1.40/ VCC 1.35/ MCH 1.40/ Vdimm 2.2v, then i rebooted and went back into bios and set 375fsb ddr2-900 and the driving strength profile to ddr2-800 and then within windows the ET6's voltages settings were: PLL 1.50/ VTT 1.20/ VCC 1.25/ MCH 1.10/ Vdimm 2.0v. actually, it may not have anything to do with auto voltage setting from the bios.

The changing voltages were probably due to them being left on auto when you were overclocking. It would be good if you could test the affect of the drive strength on the overclocking of the ram, I'm considering picking one of these boards up. nice results though mate, it's so hard getting 550+ FSB 660 MHz + on the boards I've tried, both my M2F and P5Q-Deluxe max out at 660 MHz benchable and 666 MHz max screen.

    wow

Wow Raja, i knew that team 1300 would rock on that board, ok wait to see where you get it, looks like you could hit 1400 with that board, that board is sweet. I just ordered the p45t- ud3p which is the ddr3 version of the same board, hoping it clocks as good as the ddr2 version.

neo mike, looks like leegoohfd is making some headway with that board. he had a bad start because of the bios but f3 seems to be working ok now.good luck. looking forward to your results.planning on getting one myself

i have a stuck sensor. its stuck at 39c. when im at idle they read 39c and 27c. and like ive said before
i use a vent hose from my air conditioner. very very cold air is blown directly into the
computer intake. just look at the mb sensor 16c.heres a pic of it at idle.
