any tests done 1600 cas9 vs 1200 cas6 etc?

Because if what was said is true about the x16/x16/x8 and droping memory down to x6 and uncore to x14 or x15 @ 200x21 you are at ddr3-1200. Why buy a 1600mhz kit then right?
