Hmmm.
VDD 2.8 ,, HT2.8v and leave PCI=E and Southbridge alone AUTO.
Set CPU and NB to 1.5v for both. @ Stock clocks..
Keep HTT200 and make shure NB and HT are 2000.
Set Ram to 800 and Ganged. Use Manual timing and make shure T2 is set. everything else auto for now.
Boot into windows Chenck temps...If there good Proceed to raise Just the CPU multi ONLY until you are @3.0-3.2ghz. Which ever is Max then post Screen of temps. I bet youll get 3.1 easy. Tehn well go from there. Last thing to do will be to tighten Ram and or oc the Ram after we find what the CPU/nb can do.
Ive also noticed,,
Your HT is linked to NB. I never do that unless i have already found how high my chip can run .. While your NB is @2250 =10x your HT should be 9x..making the HT2025mhz. You Ram Timing is also too tight. Temps are close to 55c , but will should be able to 3.2ghz.This may be your Max provoded we get it stable due to cooling used and Load Temp.
California ,SanBruno, The New Capital of You Tube
3.2 -3.4 depending on cooler you use for Vista64..It stresses CPU a little More..Sometimes Using ganged can be better or even the other way around.. In XP GANGED get me 3.52ghz in Vista32bit UNganged gets me 3.52ghz. Phenom is just wierd with different Oses nothing is the same between any Os ive used.
Last Once you know what the CPU can do then Play with the HTT. @ 225 i would use the 667 divider with loos Ram (stock timing @ 2T and see if you can go higher but use Stock NB and HT. This means 9xmulti for both Not 10x while using 225 x13.5 cpu
Running the Ram @ 667 will eliminate it being tigh or Maxing out on the Divider When Raising the HTTabove 225- 230. Running 800 would limit your CPU over clock if too tight timing and or ram dosnt clock well.
Use 667divider and stock Timing for Now.
230 x 13.5 = 3.10ghz
235 x 13.5 = 3.17ghz
240 x 13.5 = 3.24ghz
667 divider @ 230 x 13.5.. NB/HT set to 9x = 2070mhz
667 divider @ 235 x 13.5.. NB/HT set to 9x = 2115mhz
667 divider @ 240 x 13.5.. NB/HT set to 8x = 1920mhz
If this works then you can Raise the NB up more..
I would use 1.45- 1.5v for both CPU/NB and Vdd2.8v No ACC yet.
2x2gigs puts more staian on IMC than 2gigs. My Oc is with 2gigs. If i run 4gigs i gotta up the HTvolts more and even NB to compensate.
1.28v is plenty for you to run safe 24/7.. The main thing is CPU/NB volts. Try you Overclock with NO ACC being used first. Then try simalar OC with ACC +2 and so on. It will take time .
Youll get it.

I am going to try your recs, but I did want to clear a couple things up first.
The screenshot I posted is just the highest stable OC I've been able to get. When trying to go higher I've only had the NB/HT at 2000 and FSB at 200. Ram has been set to 800 @ 5-5-5-18 2T at 2.1v (Ram is stated to run at 800 @ 4-4-4-12 2T at 2.0-2.1v). I've currently just been using the multiplier when going above 3000mhz.
I don't understand what you mean by setting HT to 2.8v. The highest the BIOS says I can set HT volts to is 1.40v.
Also, when I turn ACC off, I can't even boot into Windows at 16x200, even with vcore and nb up to 1.525. When ACC is set to auto I can run OCCT for about a minute before Windows crashes, with max temps at 56C at 1.525.
EDIT: I'm also going to do a clean install of XP 64. When demonk asked my OS it reminded me that my Vista 64 is a bootleg install, so I want to eliminate that as a possible source of problems, esp since I don't care about running XP vs. Vista.

Ooops Sry ( HT @ 1.28volts) and set the CORE PCI-E to 1.28v-1.32v,, this is the one that really counts.
Funny i just discovered this in AOD,, that when i set the HT volts to 1.28 in Bios it did not Set the NB chipset volts to the Same.
The whole time i thought it did. The one that Actually Helps the Ram slots and Max Freqency is (Core PCI-E) I run it @ 1.32volts when using High NB and CPUclocks to keep things stable.
If i set HT to 1.26v the HTchipset is 1.26v. So in Fact the HTvolts are 100% seperate volts than the CORE PCI-E (NBchipset volts). On Previous Mobo's ive had the HTvolts and NBchipset volts were usually set by HTvolts. i dont know why i didnt notice earlier..
This is the NBvolts that is displayed to the lower right in AOD not the NBVID wich is CPU.
If you are running Lots of Ram and are overclocking i run the CORE PCI-E @1.28 - 1.32v depents on how high im pushing the Clocks..
Also just for fun,, Im @ 1.68vCPU and 1.65vNB and 1.28vHT,, 1.32vCorePci-e ,,Southbridge Auto.
Look at the settings AOD reports. Shows my CPU volts @ 1.49v.. But CPU-Z shows 1.73v. I know in MY bios its 1.73v in the Power Monitor menu.
the CPU/NBVID's are wrong too but HT //NB// Ram //southbridge read correct in AOD.. wierd stuff.

Your voltage scares me LOL..I am afraid ..very afraid LOL...
The VID setting read max 1.45 due to AOD's MAX value settings. I think you know this already..but if you set "<MaximumVCoreEnabled>1</MaximumVCoreEnabled>" in preferences file in AOD folder from "0" to "1" it will peak at 1.55max VID. This is true on both NB and CPU VID. Since I do not know a way to make it higher it stops at 1.55 which still will not show your "extreme" volts LOL

UPDATE on 602bios,,
My MAX HTT(bus) 293 x 12@3.51ghz NB2300+ HT2300+
Ive been trying for 300 but this Bios nosedives after 293 . It will set CPU to 3900mhz no matter the CPU Multi or Ram divider i use. ive tried 8x and Low HT and Max HTeven if i lower the Ram 294 is a no go ..
Patiently waiting for next Bios. im determined to get HTT300 . I have not been able to do HTT300 on ANY AM2+ Mobo yet with Phenom B3.
Phenom is quit fun to Oc you never know what you can expect.. My previos High HTT was 292,, 2hours to get 1+mhz but again im @3.516ghz vs 3.50ghz.. little things do count alot

Hello to all. This is my first post
I'm starting to build a PII rig. As a Intel user i'm kind of lost with the products available for the am2+ .
My last AMD was a AMD XP 2000+Still working!
Ok, my question is... is this, in fact, the best board for AM2+ available in the market?
I've been reading everything and i find mix and match opinions...
Thank you in advance,
from Portugal
Pedro S.
Im nerves i dont want to blow anything right now, but i can tell you this i can get it to 3.1 it boots but not stable
i can get to the desktop and whne it finishes loading everything it reboots right away and i even raised the cpu volts to 1.4 and still reboots so i dont know what to do about that

Hmm, what OS you have installed? is it a 64bit XP or Vista?
I have the MA790GP-DS4H and this M3A79-T board. I feel this board is very stable and has a lot of options...My other board is what they used to do the massive OCing with the Phenom II 940 which will be out soon. It has good potential.

Well guys for those that didnt know, my M3A79-T died, don't know what went wrong, but while I put the water blocks on the board it never booted back up. After days of testing and swapping parts, I came to the conclusion, it was the board.
I am RMA'ing this board and getting a Phenom II early next year. But for now I got me a Core i7 setup. What do you guys think?
All I can say is if you guys thought overclocking a Phenom was hard, don't get an i7, so many new terms and stuff, I'm sweating balls trying to figure this thing out!!!

Sorry to hear about the Asus..
Which i7 you get? with 8 threads..it is a beast...no doubt fun to bench. I thought about getting i7, but the wife is holding my funds till after christmas LOL...I am hitting Phenom II as soon as it is available. I have boards waiting on it.

I got the Core i7 920, it does have 8 threads.
Check out a run in 3dmark with the CPU at default clocks, everything in the BIOS on auto, the only thing overclocked was the card at the same clocks as I ran with the Phenom.
I bettered my score without overclocking the CPU, imagine when I bring the CPU up to over 4 GHz
The best with my Phenom was 15447 at 3.4 GHz

Well i really didnt want o post pics of my Uber 10year old case ,,
neW case in january. I still cant decide what i want.. HAF is very roomy. Also would enable to have 2xtripple inside while having a DVD and few HD's
My uber Rugged Looking bench rig,, best $89 bucks that has (10years of AMD Overclocking and still going)
To keep on topic i use a Tripple BIX3 twocore on top with a Feser Xchangertripple on the side. The 655 is mounted oudside case at bottom .
The 655 and D-tek (Fusion V1)I flow modded and am using Tygon 1/2"-3/4"od and masterclear. Swifty res with Fill port added.
Simple yet effective for non cooled water. This is what allows me to crank the 9950 and see whtat the 79-T has to offer. i cant wait for 45nm,then i will transfer everything to new Case .
Sry for the Bright pics..Nothin pretty but it just works

I had my cpu-z says those volts (1.728) once I can get 3.2ghz. I could have probably go more, but I didn't push up the other volts you did.
that setting was fully stable, but I hit 70C load in 3dmark06. Even at those temps I was rock stable.
My chip is a psycho. only get's unstable above somewhere in the above 72C-78C lol insane on air yes but who cares phenom II is almost here.
lapping this chip and putting it under water would probably be the only way to get low temperatures. I don't have that kinda funding. :/

Sorry to hear about your Phenom righope you have better luck with your new rig
