Are there official white papers / specs on the max allowable vcore for the Phenom II? This is related to Yukon's question earlier (which is probably why he's concerned about 1.5V for 4Ghz).

    Nice results. I want one.

AMD, please get a move on. We are getting tired of waiting... dont make us go get i7 instead

BTW: Someone living near Sampsas place?

We could use a window stalker with a cam. Sneak up and take some pictures while he is playing with 3dm etc.

I'd be afraid to run that for 24/7 (heck i don't want to exceed 1.5V on my 65nm), but then AMD's 45nm is apparently not nearly so sensitive to higher volts like intel's, from what I gather at least.

First, Sampsa Thanks a lot for posting!! I hope Xtreme-Arnold [Petri] and you had a great time in Chicago with AMD

Nice to see AMD's chips showing the numbers we all like to see... more important is the kind of scaling every quad core is doing as per your statement. Here I was thinking of going thru few more E86 [current one CB -107*c] for that perfect [in my own way] 3D01

Superb times ahead for us clockers even if its off the performance of Intel's latest ones as Tim suggested

Dread77 has told us multiple times that the clocks he keeps posting are 24/7 on air.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

Yes, but those screenies are from an AMD retail shop in Greece with all vital information blacked out! Sorry, I'm the skeptic here, remember?

It's not just a retail shop in Greece. OKTABIT is an exclusive representative in Greece. Retail shops buy from OKTABIT...

Anyway, frequency is somewhere between 3,8 and 3,9. Needed Vcore for mentioned frequency is already known, temps as well.
I have mentioned it several times, I wouldn't compromise my credibility in here for just a CPU.
But from what I see, all rumours have been verified to the last MHz. So there is no point in trying to advertise something that advertises itself.
It's a great CPU, the best AMD CPU up to now, it will compete with Yorkfield CPU's and when AM3 platform is out, then things will be much better.
