I have been a long time loyal Asus person. But this board has left me feeling less than impressed. I know next time if a new platform is just around the corner I will not invest in a high end board when a $130.00 board can outperform this one.

The only reason I purchased this board is because my Q9550 wouldn't budge on the Maximus Formula but flys on the Maximus II.
I miss cross firing on dual 16X lanes.
Your right about the lack of effort or misguided effort in the support department.
I don't think I'm ready for the 135.00 board though.
Maybe I'm just stubborn but this board has enough to hold its own with the quads if Asus would just wake up and smell the coffee.

I'm on 1307 with raid 0 on the ich. I think most here will agree 1307 is best so far... But only flash after you have set everything to default in the bios.

Try a CD and try your C:/ drive. If that doesn't work I'll talk to you on msn mate.

1307 is the best BIOS so far based on everyone's reported experiences. I'm not going to upgrade from 1307 unless they bring out a BIOS that addresses the current issues at hand.

I have flashed to the last one 1802. Until now, no problems. Everything run perfect at 7*500 with my CPU and my system. Most interesting is, that i didn't have any problems with my mobo until now. Very nice speeds, very nice overclock, very stable

Here is an old shot with BIOS 0701:

I will make some new tonight and post them.

I managed to do almost 1200 Mhz with my DDR2 set and it was stable over 3 hours of testing, but I don't like such high Mhz for 24/7.

I want to ask, about this new sound driver ? Somebody know anything about it ? The Creative one is not on the asus site any more.

Can someone actually post a reason for issue with bios 1802.
I have ran it for 2 days with NO issues, prime, IBT and gaming are all smooth.
Just watch'd a blue ray movie last night , play'd flawless

I find it a decent bios, so far the best since 1307

Maybe try and increase your vdimm to 2.0 - 2.1v (whats your ram rated at?) that may help. Corsair ram is usually binned pretty tightly so they may not overclock very far, but I don't have any experience with them so I can't say for sure.
