Not looked at your other posts, but have you tried with 1 stick of ram then manually setting the correct voltage for the ram once in bios, then place the other stick or sticks of ram in the motherboard?

has anyone else noticed the UD3L and UD3LR for sale? anyone know the differences between them and the older UD3 boards?

im building a rig for a friend of mine and was curious if anyone had any experiences with those boards. he wants a quad core plus a lot of ram and wants to get an entire rig running for under 900 bucks, and shaving 30 off of the board price will allow a TRUE instead of a AC7/Xig.
i suppose we could run a q9400 instead of a 9550 for the price savings if the UD3LR is totally out of the question.

Is this board any good for q9550? Its the only version I can find for sale in UK now.

Finally got the board this morning, and after a little fiddling, I got it swapped out for the MIIF without any bother. Pic is below, but no cables tidied as I got a bit eager to try it out

Although I don't really like the style of the board, i.e. colour scheme, and limited fan headers & sensors, it does seem to have a nicer build quality than the Asus. Looking at the SMDs placement, I think this has better accuracy than the MIIF which is something I'm used to spotting having worked in the industry in the past. It seemed as though the general design looked a lot more modular and efficient, and connectors felt a bit more solid too.

Anyway, after some fiddling, I'm tackling 500x9 straight on to see how I fair over the weekend, but think I am suffering issues with easytune 6. I keep getting a 'could not load device driver' error message, and only a few of the voltages match what I set in bios. the 'power on' values of VTT and the CPU & MCH reference in particular. Anyone had similar issues or am I missing something?

    Basic OverClocking Help

I'm hoping someone will give some direction/advice to a OC newbie. I have a EP45-UD3R MB with a E8500 and Patriot Viper 4GB (2x2GB) PC8500 RAM. My P/S is 500W Corsair VX500W in a Cool Master Case. With default MB settings, the system boots up great and I'm very pleased with it's performance. I wanted to try a little over clocking, but any small changes to the MB settings seems to make this system un-bootable. It either loops before the Gigabyte splash screen or just after it.

I've done some OC before with DFI boards (with good success), but I feel like I'm missing a simple overlooked step on this board that doesn't allow me to make any adjustments (up and I even tried to under clock it). I've read through many of these posts, but again, I have been unsuccessfull to make any changes based on what I've read.

Would someone be able to suggest some basic things I should look for or try? I also have some 1GB OCZ PC8500 RAM available, but I have the same results with that RAM.

    Thanks!

    LDN
