Thanks, Next up higher clocks (when I get some time). I don't know about anyone else...it is either this 125 9950 is a nice chip or this board just enhances performance. I have a lot higher scores on this chip and board then I do on my 140w 9950 and the MA790GP-DS4H setup

Ya..I have one 9950 on Air..but it is XP Media Center...the other has XP 32 XP 64 and Vista 32. Looks like Phenom II will love my water setup I get 26*C on idle with 3.3ghz 1.4v.
I really do like the Phenom's these 9950's have been super fun, and on this Asus board..even more fun. Very solid setup.

up to 3.4ghz in Win XP 64bit...I lowered NB to 1800 and HT of course followed suite, to see if it would effect CB scores.. I actually ran 1min and 6sec which was the same as my 3.3ghz and 2000HT and 2400NB...

Any know of a means to get more voltage beyond the bios max? vcore is capped at 1.7 and vdimm at 2.5, kind of a low cap to put on vdimm... maybe a modded bios in the wild?

Yep, got my new PSU (Enermax Modu82+ 525W with 3x25A 12V rails) and Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 cooler, btw dont ing buy this cooler for this motherboard.. it gets wrong way(the fan blows against the VGA-card) and didnt almost not fit to the board at all, also 1 memorystick place cannot be used at all with this. And was very very hard to attach the screws(althought didnt have to remove the board from the case).. and the case didnt almost not fit to close with this 1mm space between them.

But, some good things too.. idle now 39C without CPU Tweak option and with it 45C, old temps were 45 and 51C, also load dropped from 62C to 52C.

And the problem with the overclock, black screen etc .. it is still there with new PSU Im gonna try older bios if it fixes it.

Heres a pic from the comp. .. perhaps I should by a new Case

Can anyone help me with an overclock?

I just got the m3a79-t with a phenom 9950 BE, and the highest I can get it it stable is at 3037 mhz, 225 fsb, with 2250 NB and HT. Vcore and core-NB are at 1.35v, VDDA at 2.8, and HT, core/pcie, and SB all at 1.28v. ACC is at +2% on all cores.

If I do just the multi i can get 15x200 at 1.35v Vcore, ACC at +2 and drop all the other voltages to their minimums, stable.

I've been trying for 3200mhz, though, and nothing I do can seem to get the chip stable at that frequency. I've tried just 16x200, and run the vcore and core-nb up to 1.525v, with vdda at 2.8 and other volts all at 1.28. Even at ACC +4 I cannot run any stress test for more than a couple seconds at these high volts. Temps are good, at 3000mhz the hottest it gets is 51C running OCCT, and at 1.525 it runs about 60C before crashing.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I originally had 8GB ram installed so I took out 2x2gb to see if that was the problem, but it runs the same. I also had a RAID setup initially, so I turned that off and am running in IDE mode, but that didn't change anything either.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Cooling is Thermaltake Bigwater 760is. Yes, after getting it I've seen the numerous complaints people have on forums about Thermaltake water cooling but I wanted to make the jump to water cooling and so far it's run much cooler than any air setup I've ever had so I'm currently happy with it and it's too late to take it back now so I'll just keep it until it dies.

The Ram i currently have installed is Mushkin 4GB XP, which I've had at 5-5-5-15 2T timings while trying to get overclocked. I've run it up to 5-4-4-12 1T at 900 mhz, and 5-5-5-15 2T @ 1066 in memtest with no errors, so I don't think that should be the problem.

Originally I also had G.Skill PC8000 installed alongside it, and took that out to see if that was causing problems.

Post a AOD or CPU-Z sreen of Ram and CPu settings along with Idle Temp and LOAD temp..

If your Temps are really High that might explain why your Oc is capped @3.2ghz.. Im shure between all of use here we can help to get you Higher in CPUclocks

    NOTE: MAX VOLTS .
MOBO can vary 1.73v+depending on ACC if you choose to use it. Dont try Max Volts unless your 100% shure you have enuff cooling.

Ive benn running CPU @1.65v - 1.6875 with ACC+4 @3.52ghz and it gets me 1.73v Idle and 1.74v load.

My NB is @ 1.65v for up to 2600nb@3.5ghz this will give 1.55vid.. if you go above 1.65v the mobo will start setting Lower VIDs and Use More Vcore.

ASUS 79-T Max Volts for CPU and NB will cap @ 1.7v if you use VDD @ 2.8v it will allow 1.74-1.75 under load and 1.72v -1.73v idle. Also ACC + settings can raise this a little more under load. I dont know of a Bios Mod to get higher Volts ATm.

Oh gotta cut the lawn now,,

Hehee didnt know its suppose to Rain tonight. It will free up weekend to play with Bios More(voltwise ) maybe i might stumble accros something

have you tried leaving Ht refernce at 200 and using multi only and ACC on auto?...Also try the ram at the stock settings and like I saidm try multi only leave NB /HT stock as well. All 3 of my Phenom's (9850, 9950 140w, and 9950 125w) would do 3.2ghz @ 1.4-1.45v. on the asus board or the gigabyte (see sig). your temps might be an issue on the load side...

Okay, I set ram below stock (5-5-5-15 @ 800) and set the FSB to 200, with NB/HT at 2000 and ACC on auto.

I tried the multi at 16x200, and all volts at stock except for vcore, which i pushed up to 1.5v with no luck.

I then tried to up the other volts (VDDA @ 2.8, HT/SB/core-pci @ 1.28) and pushed both vcore and core-nb up to 1.5 and still no luck. I just cannot get this thing to run at 3200mhz stable.

EDIT: Here's the error I keep getting:
