memtest went all night two nights ago--29 passes: no errors

the blue screens usually are just a general error code--sometimes there are different screens (which are just different general codes).

but now there's another, bigger problem:

so...now my os won't boot...it just stays at the windows loading screen indefinitely...................regardless of the bios settings, it still happens (i'm writing this message from safe mode (which thankfully still works))

anyway, i think i'm using the latest chipset drivers...not sure but i did just install #4 on this page (which i think is the latest mobo chipset driver)

i looked around at the cables--and pressed most of them in--they seem to all be fine....
