That's a very easy thing to say if you look at the picture first.

I already said I didn't look at it until now, dunno what more to say.

Indeed, I'm sorry to misdirect the rest of you people, if you look @ the picture it's clearly an HDMI port...

So essentially this is one GTX 260 55nm ontop of another, SLIed and sharing cooling?

sounds about right... only.. from what i've read it will use 240sp's instead of the 216... which is weird?

Wait a minute, if this is just two 260s sandwiched together why do tech sites report 2 x 240 shaders?

It's two vanilla 280's sandwitched togather. I can't wait to get one of these babies. I read somewhere that this card will use 275 watts on full load. and thats taking into account that they have 55nm process

There probably will be a 3 slot version. Zotac does a lot of there stuff independently and i'd say they'd be the one's to do it.

    Its 2 x 260 with 240sp each. so it is 2 260's with the 280's sp count.

Isn't that what the 4870x2 is? How big of a difference for instance is a 4870 in crossfire vs. a 4870x2?

So it's basicly 2 280s sandwitched togather with 1.8 GB or RAM instead of 2.0?

Correct me if i'm wrong but the only difference between a GTX 280 and a GTX 260 are the SP (192 or 216 vs 240) and Memory.

What's wrong with the sandwich design? IIRC it's actually better for cooling (unless you want to change the stock cooler). Don't think AMD's single PCB approach with the X2 brought any tangible benefits. And in terms of power consumption why will it be much more than the X2 if any?

I think all these multi-gpu cards are for the birds but I don't see one approach proving superior in any way so far.

I'm just wondering if these things will SLI with another Regular GTX 280. From the pic above I dont see a bridge that is vacant, but then again it's showing the wrong side of the card. Can the 9800GX2's SLI with a single 9800GTX+?

    don't you mean 8800gts??

and i highly doubt this will sli with anything gtx200 related.... cuz i'm pretty sure the 9800gx2 did not

and correct me if i'm wrong.. but 1 card should consume around 500 watts right??? quad sli is gonna take 1kw?!... that is just absurd!

i read somewhere in this thread like 260x2 for the watt usage.. that just plain makes no sense to me?!

    quoted from expreview it was
tdp<300 watts... is that for the combined gpu.. or per gpu?!

Well noone knows how much power these new 55nm GPU's use but from what i hear the power saved via the new chip is great. I'd say it's going to be around 300 watt per 295.

    GTX280 - 512-bit 1GB
