Is there a diagram for that?the threads are in the walls of the block, yes, the fins are connected to a base plate, which is connected to the heatpipes, but you can remove it!
It sounds like an aftermarket northbridge water cooler block could be used. Something like this using bolts to hard mount the block over the heatpipes?
