You were 200MHz away from 4.5GHz. 200MHz can be a long way... ask me how I know, I fought for 3.4GHz out of my q6600 forever and finally had to give upA blanket statement like yours is never trustworthy and that's because no OC is ever ever guaranteed. Would be like guaranteeing that 6GHz OC on phenomII on LN2 - can't. I got a q6600 g0 and it still does fairly poorly compared to others. I could easily hand you a q9650 that can't break 4GHz. Some chips just suck.
