Ah Hah - now it makes sense, so what Marvin is saying is that someone can pretend to be you and make it look like you are Borking machines to get you Zero'ed unless you use a Passcode (which only you have)!

now that makes a little more sense.... but that would take a lot of effort and time... you'd have to be a desktop tech or in IT app distribution and go around installing it probably hundreds of machines in the target user's name... and hope that it gets caught and reported... and it would eventually get traced back to you anyway either through trouble tickets of the pc's you touched or by your admin account in app distribution on a network.. or in marvin's case, because he wrote the app... so all that effort to get someone's points zero'd and it costs you your job. that's a stretch..

I was a Novell Zen App distrtibution admin at a hospital for about 5 yrs, and believe me, everything I distributed or made app images of was tagged with my name.. even the crap that wasn't my fault and someone goofed in the configuration documentation when I built the image.. just because I created and distributed the network distribution object, my name was on it as the last logged admin. so I was the first one to get the call, then I traced it back to where the problem was and who was responsible. then it ended up on their plate or their bosses plate depending on how serious it was. but eventually the person who was responsible for it took the heat.

if I were in marvin's shoes, the safest bet would be leave the username and team name as required fields, then display a message on blanks that states "you have not filled in required info" and halt the install. then leave it up to them to go figure it out which team and username they want. if they got as far as dl'ing the app, I'm sure they aren't that clueless..

I'm uploading some new images, you can see what I mean then

maxTray coming along nicely, had some issues with splitcontrols not behaving as I wanted and even messing up the entire form

Starting to put the fahwatch options over now ect, still some work but still

Speaking of passcodes and whatnot, I'd assume I go somewhere on the Stanford site and it generates one for me ? I'll admit to not having researched it yet... So please, feel free in the meantime to give me some points, sign up as Donald_A._Perlick !

I am now folding for team 36362! I figured I've waited around long enough, now it's time to help out a bit. As this is my main system, I probably won't be doing this 24/7 but it will at least be on all night and as I'm surfing the web.

    My user name is ltrave.

the 8800 will help...but I do want to see the ppd on a dual core at that speed...I have a E8400 folding on a board with 0 OC ability so if I invest 100ish on a new board I want to see if that has a benefit

but get the GT in there it is a big boost in ppd
