All I have been looking at is how close other talented overclockers have been to the results Charles and Francois have posted and there are NONE.

I guess it is to be expected that as the launch of phenom II gets closer, both the AMD and Intel camp will try to get as much attention as possible with whatever marketing they can throw at us.
I just wish there would be a bit more clarity about whether or not the AMD cpu's on the demo were cherry picked and up to what point.
For somebody who is more about price/performance and teh introduction of locked features into the mainstream segment (ala BE phenoms), I really wish AMD picked 2 and 3 random chips and benched them, but that'll be tantamount to living in a fool's paradise. That's just not the way things work. Your statement about "up to what point;" may be the best case scenario for AMD. Let's hope for the sake of competition that those are not the absolute best.
Are you talking about 24/7 ready/stable settings or one of those "OMGBBQ i ran SP1M and it's stable,look at my winner score!1! ?Because on air i haven't seen much past 4.1Ghz stable(stable in a sense it can sit like that 24/7 constantly and run full load across 4 cores like that).Don't forget that at those OC clocks and overvolt,your core i7 draws massive amounts of power(like >350W for the CPU alone;the temps. would be 83+C on H20).
Stability my dear Informal is relative, so since there's no standard, user stability is merely subjective and therefore if the system gets the job done for which it was built, that's stability there for you.
I guess you want to see a system priming at 5Ghz? I thought this was about OVERCLOCKING? Oh, I don't think we'll be having this much debate if AMD dropped a chip that could prime at 6.3ghz.

The i920 is lowest binned Ci7 for a reason; even though I dislike the way Intel neuters some chips in order to help them segment pricing. But Intel is not alone here. In any case, how did they manage to load the cores at those percentages, precisely, in order to determine corresponding voltages?

Ahh but you see this is the beauty of sorting chips. It just happens that the majority of chips will fall under the low bin say 70% then you have the mid bin which is 25% followed by top bin of 5%. This is not by some coincidence but by intel/amd knowing how well their process runs and knowing that their are many variables in the process that will only get you those top 5% bins (i.e. center of wafer or ran in golden tool sets) you can only have so many wafers that you can do this with so they have a pretty good idea of what the binning is going to look like from the beginning.
