Just a cascade got 5.7 @ -100, maybe if the chip has low coldbug, you could do LN2 @ -140 getting 6+Ghz

Wow. Just a super cherry chip or was its thermal diode modified?

Anyway, Charles will definitely crack the 6GHz barrier soon.

Is this a retail chip or ES? Does this chip have the special mods that only Intel can do? I'm assuming these are retail binned chips with no mods...

Im getting approval tonight on screen shots, so hang tight.

Amazing air result, would you please share Intel SO BIOS Settings with us?
That will be a good reference point for me...

Like we believe that, we all know Fugger is intel's puppet, he says what they pay him to say, how can you prove it's unmodded? and why hide the stepping/revision?

It's all marketing, your average retail chip will never reach these speeds.

    My money says (ES).

I sincerely hope this is a retail chip with a new stepping/revision! If so, we'll be having some good times when they are released. If not, Intel's a b*tch for showing us these results

It's not a retail chip as far as I know. They are super cherry picked cream of the crop samples.

Fugger, do you ever sell good cpu's like this? if you do PMME i will pick one up!

Also a question for you guys who know most about the Core i7, any word on Loadline Calibration, some were saying 45NM cpu's from intel die from it, is this true for i7???

It's not the first time that guy has made nasty comments here.
You don't come to Fugger's site and talk about him like that.
I sent him on a 7 day vacation and that was being nice.
    Should have been a year.

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure somebody didn't miscontrue my comments to mean I was applauding what he said above. I was being careful.

I think he probably ran that 1M run, just to make a point : 5GHz+ not only at cpu-z suicide screenshot, but also 1M stable

My memory and qpi were at lowest ratios to rule out those factors, I was going for 5Ghz and made short work of it. I did not spend much time on air for each chip, this was the first one tested and it was semi decent. Best of all, its on HD video.

Northwood doesnt bother me, he has been here forever.
