I don't like the current situation.. Handpicking started with QX9650 and it is getting worse all the time. How to compete, if you don't have 100 chips to test I'm out for sure...
Nothing has changed. It has always been the case that it is mere luck to get a "golden" CPU. If you are always expecting record breaking clocks that just isn't realistic. There will always be faster. It's just like racing. I do this to have fun. I will do my best to get the most out of my system at the level I like, but I'm not in it to set records. Personally I don;t have the skill like alot of you guys do, and have been out of the loop for awile and have alot to learn again. I just like clocking to improve my performance, and get "personal bests". Anything more than that and it would become a job, and a chore, and it wouldn't be fun anymore. I compete against myself.

I have competed in mnay different hobbies. I competed with RC Aircraft for years, and I won alot. I wasn't out to win, it just turned out that way. i didn't put pressure on myself. I just had a ball doing it and practiced hard at it becasue i wanted to fly well. It just so happened the judges liked my flying, and on those days I performed. It was never about competeing against my fellow flyers though. Those guys were my freinds, and we used to help each other, and when a person would win everybody would congratulate them. It was an honor to fly with those guys, and one day i will get back into it again.

It's kinda like it is here. Everybody helps each other, but we are dealing with all kinds of variables that are beyoind our control. That will always be the case and there is some luck involved in it. When you have done your best, and have achived the things like you have here, you should be proud of that. I've seen things you have done already that I can't do, and becasue you did those things, you have helped people like me and many others. I can't thank people enough for the time they put into this and then come here and share it with others.

I'm enjoying my new i7 system alot. I have had an issue recently, but an RMA is gonna fix that and then I'll be able to do some clocking, and it will be alot of fun. I like to keep it fun. There are no negatives to getting more than advertised specs. Only positives. Remember that it's people like you that share your experience that make this palce the best forum on the Internet for Xtreme OC'ing and getting the most out of these systems. It is appreciated too. I really enjoy reading your posts and the many others here.
