Either that or they had some parts of the processor running above threshold, perhaps the NB, TLB, cache or FPU that CB10 triggered.

Perhaps 3GHz was the top frequency before this starts. Other than that mostly speculations... Have to wait till the final chip comes out, hopefully it will be sorted out by then..
