Ok im running 4x1 xtreem team 1300s on gigabyte ep45-ds3r with a e8500. I have been playing with running my memory around 1300, processor at around 3.8, i have no problem getting there, but i cannot get rid of the errors in memtest86 test number 5, have tried everything just wont go away. I was thinking it was just to much speed on the ram, i have about a 480 fsb on the 400 strap, so i decided to try something i lowered the fsb to 410 on the 400 strap using higher multiplyer so i was running my ram at 1339 ,with a fsb of 401, and ran memtest again, passed no problem like 5 passes. So my question is what do you think is causing the memory errors ? are the errors only affected by timings ? or is it a combanation of all things ?

Ok another thing is when i take 2 sticks out, and just leave 2 in, on the same settings 480fsb i can pass memtest no problems, so am i to asume my board dont like 4x1 ?. thanks for your help.
