I see that alot of you guys are giving voltage to the NB / MCH . From my experiance with P45 in general I have found that
it does not scale with volts , in fact it caused instant issue for me on all p45 boards I ve used. My 575 FSB is being acheived with
something crazy like 1.2v or lower ill post it later.

I agree with you when using Dual cores. I havent seen a stable 500+fsb with less than 1.4v using quads though. I'm running at 1.6 atm. Once i'm as stable as i want i'll try to back the NB/MCH down and see if its still stable.

I try with nearly the same spec as you. I tried 1.44v to 1.6v. 1.5v look like a sweet spot. They are releasing UD3P with ddr3.
Though I wont get them because of the single cpu reference even they will give good memory performance

In regards to changing the MCH latch to 400 and Mem multi to 2.00D, does this just change your northbridge latencies to run slower? Has this change been making people more stable? Also, I have also found that using high CPU termination voltage (Vtt)0 helps but what is the safe limit on this? 1.45ish?

Also, are people disabling EIST and C1E for overclocking, or would leaving those on lead to instability? It would be cool the get the power savings when not stressing the chip.

your running a 470 bus right...stay on a 333 strap to keep it tight..i run 495x9 on a 333 strap..with my PLL at 1.250v.and ich l/0 at 1.250v...just lowered them both from 1.350v..but it also past past with 1.350...put your ich core to 1.000 or auto.....3.00 is to much........you have the same board and cpu as me....what memory do you have it they may not want to run at 960mhz....post all of your bios settings....after that it should only be your cpu termination AKA vtt...and your v-core and memory settings to get you stable...

EIST never works when you set the vcore yourself. So it doesn't matter if its enabled. C1E also works on 0C systems cuz it just lowers the multi.

To test your system for stability or for benchmarks i would always turn it off. When you are satisfied with your 0C you can enable C1E if you choose too. Normally you won't notice a big difference in the typical pc useage except when you bench, you just help your CPU to live longer.

um...what? I am trying to get stable not run the lowest voltage for the ich or the tightest strap. My memory is stable up 1040mhz so its not the memory.

well unless you post all of your bios settings....its going to be hard for people to help....you should have no problem running 470x9 with this board and an e8400 with just a few adjustments....and lowering voltages can sometime get you more stable depending on what it is...theres no reason to run higher voltages then whats required to get your clock...and if your ram can run to 1040mhz then try running my settings since we both have the same board and cpu......the v-core may very between yours and mine and your dram will very since i have cellshocks D9GKX
.....(((these are my latest setings as of today for 4455mhz ran prime blend for an hour no errors))).....

    ROBUST GRAFIX BOOST............TURBO
    CPU CLOCK RATIO...................9X
    CPU HOST FREQUENCY.............495
    PERFORMNCE ENHANCE.............EXTREME
    MCH FREQUENCY LATCH............333MHZ
    SYSTEM MEM MULTI.................2.00B
NEXT IS YOUR RAM SETTINGS MINE RUN 4-4-4-10...SO SET YOURS TO RUN STABLE YOU MAY NEED SOMETHING LIKE 5-5-5-12
I SET MINE TO PERFORMANCE LEVEL 9 I USED MEMORY SOFTWARE CALLED MEMSET TO LOWER A BUNCH OF MY SUB TIMINGS MOST OF IT CAN BE DONE IN THE BIOS BUT I LIKE IT CUZ I DONT HAVE TO KEEP REBOOTING TO FIND THE TIGHTEST SETTINGS FOR MY RAM,S..
    LOAD LINE LLC.........................ENABLED
    CPU V-CORE...........................1.37500V
    CPU TERMINATION...................1.42000V
    CPU PLL.................................1.2500V
ICH I/O..................................1.2500v..((your board may need pll and ich l/O up to 1.3500v))
DRAM.....................................FIND WHAT DRAM SETING YOUR RAM NEEDS TO RUN AT 990MHZ
(((ALL OTHER SETTINGS AND VALUES ON AUTO))) AND THIS WILL MAKE FOR A FAST 24/7 RIG....TRY IT AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKED FOR YOU.......just make sure you have a good heat sink...or some h20 going.....AND TRUST ME YOU WANT TO RUN YOUR OVERCLOCK ON THE TIGHTEST SETTINGS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR OVERCLOCK...FOR ANY THING UNDER 500MHZ FSB I WOULD JUST FORGET USING A 400 STRAP

Funny thing is I have the exact same E0 E8400 as you down the the batch number, lol. I will post up my settings and try yours but you are missing the MCH voltage and MCH reference. What values do you use? Also, I hope you meant 1.5V for PLL and ICH. For my cooling I have a Fuzion V1, MCR320, and a D5 so temps shouldn't be an issue.

((((oh yea and sorry about the typo on the pll and ich voltages i left out the "1"...i run my pll and ich at 1.2500V i edited my last post to correct the typo..and then i double checked my settings...so your good to go...((((all other settings are on auto and keep values on auto there fine)))).......if my settings work but give errors in prime 95...then send me a message...your probably need to raise the pll and ich to 1.350...but like i said its going to come down to your mem settings because our rigs are almost identical..im runing prime 95 as we speak...and about your E8400 i cant believe we have the same batch#...thats crazy......yea bro you should be able to get the same clock as me its just going to be your memory settings to get right and you should be good to go...im using bios F4....and also my e8400 came from newegg...ware did you get yours?

Well I let memtest run for an extended time and I ended up having 1 test 7 error so this could definitely be the issue here. I will fix this error then report back. Pretty sure I need to raise the trfc.

@VOID WARRANTY : get your numbers right man, how on earth can you help someone when you constantly put in the wrong values, post after post

Take eg CPU PLL 1.25 ? or is it 1.52 ? Insomnia does it sometimes to me too lol
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

just picked up the EP45-UD3, sweet board. Having some problems though not sure if its normal or not. For some reason If i have my x-fi elite in the last pci slot the computer will boot but give no signal. The instant i move the card to the pci slot right below the x16 pci-express slot it boots and is fine and windows detects the x-fi. once and a while it will boot in the lowest pci slot, but windows doesnt detect any hardware, sounds like a bad board? Should i RMA? i just got it yesterday from newegg. Thanks guys.

yea well it dosnt want go high enough with a 400 strap either...well i had the cpu up 4.8ghz on 1.4300 vcore or around that but its not stable....but im on a mission..the board is great and will run low voltages but once the board goes past 495 bus..its like a completly new animal that sucks up crazy volts and is never happy or stable...i think they need to fix the bios the boards need to much voltages...realy i think after you 500 and above it needs new refs but what they are im still trying to find

    EP45-UD3P & ocz reaper hpc pc8500

Anyone here running EP45-UD3P & ocz reaper hpc pc8500?

I just ordered the EP45-UD3P and read on a few forums that my reapers might only run in single channel mode. Can anyone debunk this notion?

    Thanks!

I ´m wondering if anyone else got the same problem of S3 mode fail to wake up after certain high frequency of the cpu. I pretty sure it BIOS-board because I tried on 2 different cpu and other user also reported the same problem.
Q9650 above 4Ghz and Q6600 above 3.6Ghz. Below than that S3 work fine.
Will try new bios and see what gives.

It up to you. If it a bug you will still get a board with the same problem after rma.
