no, it creates a situation where we have a catawalks1 and a catawalks2 in the charts if you only move one week.. and though I dont mind doing it once. if I allow one, then it opens the door up for anyone else to. and before I know it we're playing double users on a whole handful of team switches.. if I move your whole entire comp points over then it removes the need for double users. but that's not really a good idea either. I don't want to start changing the race points in those dynamics this late in the game; it's gonna step on toes. maybe if you would have moved in week1, that would be ok. but to take 3weeks worth of points and move them in the 4th week would be kinda squirrelly.

Hey guys we just slithered into 29th place ahead of Playstation.comForums. It'll only last a day as PG is set to overtake tomorrow.

just for grins and giggles I moved your entire user over to foxtrot, catawalks... for this snapshot only...

this is just a quickie. nothing official... I just duplicated my main scorecard and made a copy in another folder to hack on...

as yall can see it doesn't make that much difference since whiskey has an enormous lead even when catawalks points are taken away and given to foxtrot.

but I really dont think it's a good idea to change the dynamics like this so near the end... if people speak up and say 'make it so' of course I'll do it... otherwise I'm not gonna. I took some slack last race when I suggested these type things to even out the points mid comp. so I'm not gonna do it again, unless I hear quite a few shouts from the crowd. then we'll send it up to the replay booth for a decision.

here's what it looks like, so no one is guessing on what it would do.

For the sake of simplicity, fairness, avoiding any issues, etc etc etc I'd just say leave as is, it was the shifting around that got some worked up last time and I don't think we really want that again

Alrighty then. Sounds like a plan. I was just thinking I'd hop over for the last week to make the race between foxtrot and tango more interesting. But I understand where you guys are coming from. We shall leave it alone.

Do you guys report bad WU's? Guess it (5506 5, 53, 104) must be bad cos now I've dropped the clocks it's the first to give NaN's for days and that immediately.

sometimes if I feel like it... only thing that happens is ToTow usually posts back and tells you whether anyone else successfully turned it in. so it's kind of a wasted effort. just imo..

here's the wu issue forum, just post a log with your eue and what you run it on.

I think 5748 is the only POS WU out right now. The other one that locked up immediately a couple weeks ago is gone.

I can't say I've had too many issues with 5506, I get a lot of them and they usually run fine

    OK peeps,

    1. Mike, Thanks for the Grey Goose...It will go down well. And your right, I would have followed the team with that in their basket. BTW I just bought 2 bottles of GG for $53 for both on sale...

    2. Catawalks, Let's not...It will get too many undees in a bunch and open pandora's box, and it smells in there

    3. Howz about a hand to our STELLAR SCORE KEEPER MIKEB12...Those referees must be keeping you motivated. When I think how much stuff you got to do to tally those points, it makes my head spin more than GG

    4. KUDOS to EVERYONE in this Halloween race. You are all champions !

    5. 5506's not so bad with my GPU's either, no penalties assessed

    6. Mike must share the referees with the 3rd place team (which still outputs more than most forums as a whole...

    7. Penalty to OldChap for not posting more humor

    8. Lastly, OMG Coo-coo-clocker, adding Acme Jato Rockets in final push???

KUDOS TEAM XS Halloween RACERS !!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I lost 2 more smp WU's that were at about 50% because of left4dead. I started it up and raised the priority a little so I could leave my smp clients running. It then decided to freeze my system and not give me control anymore. So I had to hit my reset button and boom...no more WU data....starting at 0% again.

I've done that so many dam times, still pisses me off when that happens...

one of my machines is having problems with avast right now, it keeps flagging one of he work files as a virus and kills the wu.. strangely enough it does it right in the middle of a wu, causes a 3hr delay and eue.. 2 since this morning... so I finally had to disable on access avast about 2 hrs ago. hopefully that does it. none of my other machines do this. freaking weird.

Try running with the -forceasm flag. I haven't lost a unit from restarting the client after a normal shutdown, or a system hang, or shoot even a BSOD since I put it in.

It doesn't check the prior termination, so it keeps assembly optimizations turned on (SSE stuff). SMP units cannot crunch without SSE so if it tries to fall back to classic non-SSE it will bomb out. Leftovers from the original uniprocessor CPU client.
