    Hi HG,

Well looking at your compare, it seems pretty clear to me, that the main difference is in the CPU score with your CPU at 3.4GHz, over mine at 3.1Ghz, the graphics scores are pretty close, and I would have expected the 4850's to score better than the 3870's, though it depends on whether or not they are OC'd and by how much.

The OS being used is also most likely a factor, as mine is on 64-bit Vista, untweaked, no services disabled before running the bench etc.... whilst you are on 32-bit.

Having looked at other results on ORB with a similar config, incl. 64-bit Vista, I'm happy with the result I got.

I have all the BIOS settings configured correctly for the PCI-E etc, and the cards are in the correct slots, configured for PCI-E Gen 2.0 and Link Width x16, confirmed in CCC and GPU-Z.

The only other factor could be the PCI-E Bus, which is currently set at 100Mhz, I have got AutoExpress Enabled in BIOS, and this used to run the PCI-E Bus at 124Mhz, but for some reason it doesn't seem to do it any more, not since I flashed to the 1301 BIOS, and then went back to the 1203 BIOS after I had the USB problems with the 1301 BIOS.

The Phenom is OC'd to the most it will do on the SB600, via multi increase only, to 200Mhz x 15.5 = 3100Mhz, RAM is set at DDR2-1066 and is running as it should. NB Mulit is set to X12, as is HT Multi, though it only applies the HT Multi after opening AOD in Windows and changing it there.

So NB is at 2400Mhz, HT is at 2400Mhz.

Not sure what there could be thats wrong to be honest.

If you or anyone else has any ideas, I;d love to hear them, as if I can get a better score I'd love it..

The cards are OC'd to the Max using ATI Overdrive, and I don't really want to try to push them any higher as I'm using the stock fans and increasing the fanspeed any higher than it is (45%) makes them unbearably noisy.

I could try a higher OC on the cards and max the fanspeed just for a bench run, but when I tried this before I got all sorts of artifacting etc, I'd be much happier just finding a stable day to day setting and using that TBH....

Any and all suggestions would be welcome, though truthfully I'll be doing a complete re-build around the M3A79-T later this week, so I havn't got much time left to try things...!!!

Karen, download the AMD Fusion app. All you need to do is click on the logo and it shuts down most of the background processes for you. It makes it nice and simple.
I have found no stability problems.

try lowering your HT speed down to around 2000-2100mhz and your NB speed between 2200-2400mhz and see if that helps your score. also with trifire pci-e at around 108mhz raised my score and help stabilize the oc. you should have settings in bios that will let you adjust those and still keep your cpu clock where you need it.
