Assuming for WCG, long life over short speed. You're doing twice as much work, but you're replacing the CPU twice as often, and also dealing with a much bigger power bill.
2.0 Ghz Sammies or a 3.2-3.4 Ghz Q6600? It's coming into summer, and while I want to get more output, I don't want to deal with the heat dump a highly clocked Q6600 puts out. We've already had a couple of 30-35°C days, and my room was something like 10°C hotter than outside thanks to only 2 quads (see sig). I'd hate to think what 3 or 4 would do...
