I should note that I did pass the 2 hour test, I only started doing the 20 minute tests because I was individually lowering my volts down 1 by 1 so just needed a quick stability test to make sure it stayed stable.

very good, glad you got it sorted out.

Well all night ive been struggling to get to 3.9 but I just cant get it stable. Been reading around and came to the conclusion that my 9550 limit is 448 fsb x 8.5 multi. Im stable all day at 448 but once I started bumping it higher, I cant last more then 1 minute on occt wether its mix, ram, or cpu. Doesnt matter. I updated my latest test in post 7278. Thats were I want to keep it for 24/7 use. Are all my volts in good shape for that? Any reason not to?

It is difficult to help you out when your parts aren't listed. What ram are you using. If your ram can run stable @ 1132 then here is:

Easy 4Ghz on Rampage Formula (8.5x471)

    Extreme Tweaker
    Ai Overclock Tuner : Manual
OC From CPU Level Up : AUTO
    CPU Ratio Control : Manual

@Grnfinger; What's the latest on your RF, did you get to play with it yet?

Store where I bought was out of stock, they now have them in but I cant decide what to get, Rampage or a Giga UD3.
This will be my last board b4 i7 so I am torn.

Rampage Bios 601 is a nice bios, Very stable and I could drop 1 notch of vCore and vtt
Rig is on air so any little bit helps

I have tried for 3.9 and I could not get it stable. I even turned everything but vcore on auto and it still wasnt stable. I crossed that 450 barrier and no matter what I couldnt get it stable. I had 1:1 ratio for fsb/ram. I feel like im just capped at 3.82ghz.

running on auto is not a good idea, unless you want to buy new hardware in a month or 2.

To determin if its a FSB wall lower your multi 475x8 , 475x7
1.35vcore for 3.8GHZ should leave alittle room for 3.9 -4.0 but if your chip scales poorly then you might need 1.425 for 3.9GHz, 1.475 for 4.0GHz

Before my CPU PLL Voltage was at 1.60 and my NBv had to be set at 1.65 for it to be stable, now when I lowered the CPU PLL Voltage to 1.50, my NBv is at 1.53. So it really does make a difference in terms of stability.

I have a general question about when you flash a new bios to MF/MR boards. That question is when you flash a bios and the application says that it is erasing/writing the bios from/to the ROM, does any one else get two blocks towards the end of the progress bar that seem to be skipped? What i mean by this is they are still yellow, however are half pixel shaded in appearance. The flashing app will say it has completed successfully how it just bothers me....

Did you advance clock skews? what temps are you getting for cpu and NB?

No, my memory is all on auto except for the voltage. Temps for cpu are 40 idle, low 50's gaming. NB is 50 idle.

hmm what's temp at load; that nb voltage seems a little on the high side. Set DRAM control to 'manual' and advance clock skews to 300 each on A/B; that should do the trick.

That;s got to be the highest vtt yet; you don't need that much vtt for 590. I did 600fsb (7.5x600) with 1.34vtt on RF.

Under occt it gets to 70c for cpu and upper 50's for nb. While gaming tho those both never get close to those temps. I was gaming a good 8 hours yesterday and she was flawless. Nothing got above 55c from video card to mb and everything inbetween.

OK I have a problem...I can prime for 8 hrs straight without any problems, but if I prime while playing a video for like 10-15 mins the whole system freezes. Any ideas? I tried upping my NBv to 1.65 and it still freezes after 10-15 mins while priming and playing a video. Heres my BIOS settings:

I just put them both on 300, so I should try for 4.0ghz again?

    Futastic.

    1) Graphic card still OK?
    2) DRAM Speed over stock
    3) Maybe try to run a video with an upped vCore

The graphics card is fine. I tried running DRAM at 1:1 at 943MHz and it still does the same thing. So you think I should bump the CPU vCore up even tho its stable while priming for 8+ hours?
