I'm running 8 gigs of Kingston HyperX without any problems. Running 4.0 Ghz as well. Set 1, 3, 5 on SATA ACHI ports and running bios 1501. I have my settings listed here in a previous post. Cryptik helped me get my system stable.

Sorry to get a little off topic here, but maybe I am just being anal about this, but does anyone notice when booting up after bios screen then screen goes black it seems to take a while to actually get to windows log on and this is where I am being anal, awhile being 15 seconds or so, or is this just normal? Would there be any setting on the mobo that could speed this up?

that used to annoy me as well
what i do is change the boot device priority to Hard disk as the first one with everything else disabled

    that should speed it up

if you need to boot from a cd just press F8 at start up

Thanks Nunzi I appreciate it, tried it but no go with 8 gigs but I have figured out with the Q9550 and 8gigs that to get 4.0 I have to run on the 1:1 divider I am testing right now but seems to be doing well..
