Two sticks of Patriot Viper 9600's,,
This Mobo didnt like my Dominators ..I could not clear cmos and boot unless i removed the Dominators and put in other ram too boot and adjust Ram volts.. i no longer have to do that with the Viper's...
Viper 9600 ,,2x1gig dual channel kit. 2.3volts
Ganged Mode
Note :
Raising the NBchipset volts helps to stabilize ram ...On my Mobo its the CORE/PCIe volts.. On GX's i believe its CPU to NBchipset volts
Either way find out what sets the NBchipset volts and use 1.28- 1.32v its a safe range..ive tested on SB600/SB700/GXsb750/FXsb750
Also running the CPU/NBvoltage around 1.35- 1.45v helps when using high NB2400mhz
Phenom is not easy to tweak by all means..Just when you think your done theres something else to change to go higher.
Lastly if your ram isnt clocking High Use Stock timing or auto for timing and amanually set the divider your going to use untill you have reached your CPUclock goal..then tighten the ram timings one at a time..Some settings work some wont ,, it does take time with phenom thats why i use 5-5-5-timing or higher..4 or below is tuff for 800mhz+ Phenom does like high freqency ram with medium timing uless you are keeping it under 800mhz..At least that what ive found out anyway.
