BA, how did you mount the rad at the bottom?
Thanks!
The optical drive is powder coated to perfection. It's a little dusty in the pictures but it's really nice.
Thanks again!
Thanks andyc.I think you'll like what you'll see. This case is quite special in so many ways.
Thanks ShoNuff. I aim to please.
I didn't have any problems with the gpu block, although I did mount and remount a few times, but mostly due to cosmetic changes. Otherwise it really went on perfect. I hope some block manufactures could start including black screws too.
My thoughts exactly. That's why I have an extra TJ07 just sitting there now.
Charles and MurderMod have set the bar high. I like the challenge of building this up to the standards he has set. I'm sure enjoying the process.
The rad is not mounted yet.. But it will be mounted soon. I'm using the Hammond boxes that Charles send. It all came with the MurderMod TJ07. The boxes will mount to the case with countersunk screws and then double sided tape to the rad. I think it'll work well.
One of the largest hurdles of this build has been the pump placement. I have been thinking about it time and time again. The Ek D5 Top makes it just slightly more challenging to find the perfect mount. I also wanted it to be somewhat sound proofed because I dislike the pump vibration noise.
This is what I came up with. What do you think?

Nice looking EK pump top!![]()
Can't see that pump making much noise except if it rattles in the bracket, but that really depends on how tight the bracket is.
It's a rubber foam type material I found on the bottom of a tile grout tool. I just went to my local hardware store and started brainstorming. I still could do another 3-4 more pumps with the extra material I have. I like it because it's really solid, but soft enough to absorb the vibrations.

Ba da dum dum dum.
May I ask how you'll integrate the Aquaero? It looked like the faceplate only has an opening for the optical drive. Great build by the way!
wow.. looks awesome.
D5 looks like it's suffocating in there!
I tried making the lightbox today and it came out great!

Nice work,
Going to be VERY tight down there(Sounds wrong at the same time lmao)
Man BlueAqua, this sweet. I love the paint jobs and the pump idea was clever. I wish I had some of your skills. That murdermod logo looks awesome. I could go on forever at how awesome this build is looking. Great job on the pics also.

Damn this is looking sweet BA... Amazing work.
I like the pump placement, gonna be hidden nicely and the padding on the bottom will definately help with the bad vibesIt is also a huge plus to have the pump mounted to that much Alu on the main chassis. Of the two pumps in my TJ the only one I can hear at all is the one mounted to the optical assembly, and that is because there isnt a boatload of Alu to keep it solid therefore vibration city.
Sick, sick sick, sick build buddy.
Lucky bastage LOL
Also, Heya Skinnee\Dangals\Charles![]()
It's fun to say, I know.
That is a really nice compliment. Thanks so much Utnorris.
Thanks mcoffey! I'll try to throw in some surprises to make it interesting and exciting for you.
TT, we miss you. You need to get your internet back. Don't make me go to Canada and get that beer and steak you promised me.
I'm really happy with the pump base. It's heavy enough and with a wide base so that it won't wobble or shift around. I'm still going to attach it to the case but it's going to be solid. I just need to ensure that it doesn't touch the psu or radiator. I'll still have room down there to install a double radiator if ever needed, so that will be a good option.
I also cleaned out my Feser radiator. To my surprise the water came out clean every time.
I need to go and make some progress. Thanks for all the support guys.
Today I mounted the fans to the radiator and attached the Hammond boxes to the frame. That was a lot more time consuming that I would have thought, but the results were great.
Feser 120.3 with Scythe S-flex G's.I also really liked the included gaskets, very nice and easy to work with.
Base taped and ready for drilling:

Mock setup of the radiator on the mounts:
I need to get a fitting in the mail before I install the midplate. Once I can install that I'll mark and drill the midplate, ensure it lines up, and attach the radiator and pump to the base. I think I should probably have that fitting tomorrow as Sidewinders ships amazing fast for me. Gary, if you read this. Thank you!
I think it's about time to get sleeving. I have 100 feet to go through, I might as well enjoy it.![]()
100 feet. Holy cow. You better have some iron thumbs mate :P:.
