Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Are those pictures really to scale of the P6T and Rampage?
amazing looking boards......

Odd that they didn't include a water cooling top. And that little fan for that daughter board is going to be loud I bet![]()
Lucky bugger. Put it through hell for us![]()
Looks like another overpriced Asus board to me...
Asus Rampage 3 Extreme
920@4400 1.34(Thanks UTnorris)
3x2g Gskill Perfect Storm @2000mhz
2x Asus Gtx480
300g WD Raptor
1tb WD Sata 3 Backup
MMUFO/120.3x3/HK 3.0/EK Nb/sb
Dell 27"
yeh, in the same way RE was overpriced....but kicked the sh1t out of everything else
imo the lack of pushpins alone is worth the money =]
i'm just looking at all these X58 boards and wondering how the hell i'm going to insulate them, and this is no exception.
I'm in love![]()

I remember the good old days, way back in 2006 when a high end mobo only ran about $200.
only one pci slot and placed close to the second pci-e slot
so. how can install the sound card with SLI or crossfire ?
Gaming rig;
ASUS RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION
I7-4390K
G.SKILL Trident X 16GB 2400
Intel 530 240GB

Corsair AX1200
HP ZR30w 30
Win 8.1 pro
Sound rig;
Auzen X-Fi H.T. HD --> Yulong D100 MKII --> D-7100
Buy a pci-e 1x sound card and install in upper slot above vgas, maybe?
The X58 heatsink will block the installation of sound cards like the pcie XFi Titanium, but it looks like a trivial mod to fix that. Also, the finned heatsink is only attached to the main heatpipe assembly with 2 screws, so it can be easily removed and replaced with something else if desired.
Windows 7 Ultimate/4790K/Asus Z97--Deluxe/2x8Gb gskill 2133C9 ram
Ultra 120 Extreme cooling/evga Titan SC video/Asus VG248QE monitor/SB XFi-Ti sound
You can put a creative X-Fi in the lowest x16 port.
It fits and works.
Anyway i'm hoping to get my hands on this board very soon!
Don't forget that Swiftech have the block to fit the Maximus II Formula which use the same concept. It's a work between Asus and Swiftech so I assume it will also work on the R2E (just unscrew the finned part and screw the waterblock).
This is a motherboard I'm drooling the most of all but it's too bad I'm a bit strapped for cash right now.
Then what kind of block is this? i'm also looking for one.. i thought it came with it after i saw this pic.. but after looking at several reviews i noticed it was'nt shown in the box..so is this just a painted swiftech or a different brand? and where can i find BIOS's for this board if I were to get it? Asus needs to put it on there dam site

for some reason, and i can't exactly figure out why, this board seems a lot less attractive than RE.
Had the chance to buy a RIIE here in UK for a few days now, but put off by RE original's RAM compatibility. Or lack of.
Eyeing on EVGA's X58 solution now, seems like a solid board with great BIOS support reading Anand's, or maybe the Blood Rage depending on avalibility.
My 965 is sitting on the floor looking for a home![]()
