well if that cpu can fold over 5ghz I think you got a shot at it regardless. Most guys with quads which clock high enough run dual smp's so you got a real chanche of beating the snot out them in return times. Don't know if you can make up having 2 less cores though.

i dunno.. im gonna be away for the weekend... but some time next week ill take a shot at being stable folding at about 5.1 to 5.15

download the client and when it asks for the team number use 36362

I am running multiple PC's...AMD 4200+ x2 (3.0ghz) Phenom 9950 BE (3.4ghz) The Phenom system has 2 HD 4850's 1 stock and one 800core. I have the 2 PCs running a x86 client and they are working right now. I just got them going. I wanna do more but do not know how etc..

My employer might be donating me a Dual CPU quad core Opteron 45nm setup (when they arive) for folding.

What OS are you running? If its XP or Server2k3 then you can grab the GPU2 client from here

If Vista/Server2k8 then get this one.

Then you can follow the guide over here or ask us and we'll help you set up a multi gpu system.

Don't forget you can use the SMP client instead of the uniprocessor, it will do more work using the same resources ( well, the x2 should be running two uniprocessor clients, the x4 (phenom) should be runing 4... if you want to efficiently run the most inefficient client ).

Imo yes. Though some might disagree, and I sinned in the past as well, deleting wu's is a bad thing to do because stanford will keep waiting on them to be returned

If you are not using the -oneunit flag when it finishes it will get another, the -oneunit flag will stop it after it finishes...

How does your employer feel about donating 45nm opterons to all us 65nm opteron users on XS? We'd of course give them our 65nm ones in return and perhaps this could be a good marketing strategy for them. It would definitely get their name out there.....

Well since they won't use AMD systems...the wont want any 65nm parts I just told them I prefered the Opteron system. But that would be nice if they were that generous...

If you are not using the -oneunit flag when it finishes it will get another, the -oneunit flag will stop it after it finishes...

well, it says 215/500...on the taskbar icon...I don't know how to view my projects in FahMon yet..I don't know where the informatijn is stored for each client..
