its weird i only seen a few kits n they went fast i was lucky to get mine @ a good price
i was gonna buy it from memoryc but woulda cost 400$+ ridiculous

Indeed if your looking for 2 x 2gb but I sold 4 x 1gb of my Ballistix Tracer (D9) and they could hit 1200 easily with less then 2vdimm...

I tried running 4=1gb sticks on my board it wouldnt even post. Dont know why, but 2=2gb works great. I would like to know if i can take the 4+1gb route.

btw not many boards gonna do 1200 4x1
so far only dfi x38-x48 is a 4x1 and 2x2clocking monster

I have the gigabyte ep45-ds3r. Yeah 2+2gb is the way to go. Im thinking of going with the ocz flex2 9200 and overclocking them to 1200 or a little above that should work its a 4gb kit, talked with ocz said they will run on my board.

i doubt you gonna hit 1200 with the ocz gl

i took out my x38 for a quick memtest run
sticks are crazy full pass @ 1300mhz with 2.1v
memtest bandwidth was 7100mbs

the real shame i cant get my e8600 to play nice with x38
i wasted 6+ hours with x38 n all bioses
i'll be doin more testing next week before i dump x38 again
and if x38 dont play nice with e8600 soon i will sell both my x38 n gskills
the big reason i got this set was for x38 + e8600 and i need to run 515fsb+

Can you post your BIOS rev? I tried A02, 602 etc and none can boot windows using the 400/1066 strap like yours!

I will make pictures BIOS settings, and give more screen modified timing - can not continue to change.

reducing timing for 1300


To do this, change the settings in the BIOS, wait photo. Be sure to add fan.

i can but only with me e6400 bios 602
but with my e8600 it causes its a pain

I have orderd few days this memory to, but it isn`t avaible for now. And i think it won`t be avaible anymore. So now i want looking for some other ram.
Which rams will do the same, or a little bit slower? Iam looking for an 2x2GB DDR2 kit. I have de maximus formula @ rampage for now. But also thinking to sell it and go for the gigabyte EP45-UD3P. All i want is doing 630mhz on the rams..

UPDATE #2: Scratch that, the kit is no longer available because I just bought it! They will be delivered on Friday morning so I'll hopefully have some results up Friday night (thankfully got the day off)!

Opps, just double checked and there is actually more kits available (not sure how many because newegg has limited purchasing to one per customer). When they do that its hard to check their inventory, all I can say is that there are more kits of this RAM available at the moment. Sorry about the misunderstanding guys.
