I dont like that random wire between the cpu cooler and the exhaust fan... Also, the wires next to the harddrive need to be sleeved or somethin...

I know but, I really don't feel like sleeving stuff. I just liked the fact that I finally moved all the wires out of there that's all. I also hate that one wire. I pulled it to tight on the back of the case where all the wires are and I just left it like that. I will fix it grr.. .

Humm, I've removed my standard fan molex's off and if it's the same thing that I'm thinking off I just put a very thin flat head screw driver into both sides of the male connector and pushed the little inserts in wards (this is what holds it on) and I think there are two on each male connector. I don't know if that explanation makes sense but here are a few links that might help you out (they helped me out)

Lool, I better hide as many wires as I can on mine before posting pics up . I've given up on waiting for the stands and tubing for the cut-outs because it can take up to 24 bloody days!!!! I've already waited a week and got impatient yesterday so I stuck some foam at the bottom of the case to hold it up in the meantime until my stands arrive. Plus I've gotten around to installing the MB, Fan, CPU, PSU, and today I'll be finishing it off with the Ram, HD, CD Drive and Graphics card and hopefully it'll all start up (considering everything has been brought over by Air over a month ago) so I hope I don't have any faulty/damaged goods......Wish me luck

What I did to hide that power cable going to CPU is put a small hole just below the MoBo and then one right above it. Hides it very nicely.

    OCZ gameXstreme 600w PSU

just basic, enough to play the games i want to. fine as its my first build. cables are messy, might try and hide them at a later date.

also, does anyone know where to get either the antec blue 120mm fans, or a fan with the same blue leds as the case, with a 4-pin motherboard connector? (baring in mind i'm in UK)
You know the best part about this post...I am having "space" issues with my desk setup...and until i just saw your pictures it had never occurred to be to just put the PC behind my monitor...LOL...Thanks!

Really diggin this forum!! So many great ideas!! I actually have a 1200 (shhhhh) but your ideas cross over perfectly.

I want to try the hard drive reversal, but I'm hesitant. Has anyone done this with the huge video cards? I have a pair of 9800gtx's right now there is 5/8 of an inch between the cards and the drives. From the pictures it looks like when you turn the drives around you lose even more space.

Also, there was some discussion of "sagging" VGA cards after time. I would like to avoid this if possible, so I've been searching for aftermarket supports to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas on what direction to go with this?

Would have posted earlier, just been waiting to get "permission" to post.

    Thanks in advance.

Guys.. I need some SERIOUS help with cable managment, even with a modular PSU I have it looks like crap.
The thing is, I do NOT want to cut holes, is there a way to get "decent" cable managment without cutting holes?
I have the newer version so it automatically has two holes cut between the mobo and harddrive cages but there not really in a helpful spot.
And the 8 pin connector that goes into the mobo is at the very top and the wires to short to go any other route.
    This motherboard has horrible placement...

Anyways, heres some pics maybe someone can help me get through this disaster!

Best bet really seems to be cutting holes. Cutting the hole in the bottom would allow you to flip the PSU and move the cables closer to the "back" of the case. This will help with length a little, and moves the cables out of the limelight. As for the 8pin, you could always buy an extension cable to keep from having to run over the top of the video card. That's what I did with my 4pin cable.

I have a Rev 1 case without holes at all, so my only option is to cut holes. Gonna be a project that I am FINALLY starting in a couple weeks!!!

    Dang boss. 1-year later =P

@sailrabbit: Nice work. A bit of a tease, seeing that I have not done anything with my 900 lately.

I have mounted a 37" HDTV on the wall, along with my Z5500 satellites. All wires are hidden in the wall and behind the baseboard.

Ah damnit so theres no easy way out of this. I don't want to flip my PSU and even if I did there wouldnt be that much of a difference in cable length probably just a smidge, then again a smidge could be very critical if it depended on it. So theres no use with those two holes they supply?

There is use, yes, but based on the amount of people in this thread that make their own holes, you can see how useless they seem to be.
