I just started overclocking my board and the huge incements in voltages are really limiting my overclock. I also dont like not being able to fine tune the gtl refs. If it wasnt for that this would be a great board. It overclocks really well.

Is there any ram that is proven to work well with this board? I cant get my 1066mhz reapers stable at 1068mhz 5-5-5-15 or at 890mhz 4-4-4-12. Ive had good luck with these sticks on other boards. I need to play with the PLs alittle more. The latency for my L2 cache is also very high on this board. Its small fft stable for 14.5 hours (I stopped it then). I cant figure this board out, between the memory clocking and the HUGE increments in voltage Im pretty disappointed with this board. Seems like a pretty crappy board for day to day use. Also, whats up with there being all of these issues and no bios update for 3 monthes, not even a beta? Did Biostar abandon this board? They made alot of money with it a little bios support would be nice.

Drop them an email asking about finer voltage granularity and much better memory support. Don't use the word overclocking or you will be fobbed off, standard practice of any manufacturer.

I already did, but I dont rememer if I mentioned overclocking. I dont think I did. I think everyone here should do the same thing. Hopefully we can get a beta out of them. I know there is only so much that you can do, Ket. I still cant wait to try out a modded bios.

You would think since they have the Oc'ing guide to get you to 600FSB, that Oc'ing wouldn't be that much of an issue for them...

Biostar probably do have some decent betas kicking about, their just taking their sweet time in making one of them official. Keep bugging them

I sent an email to their Taiwan branch complaining about the voltage options and especilly the GTLs. Hopefully more people do the same. They have to have some betas kicking around.
Keatlck- We are using very similar settings. I need the same vcore to stabilize the same 445fsb x9multi, I could get a little more with some real GTL options. We also have the same VID on our chips. What is your vtt and NBv? Can you boot your ram at 890mhz 4-4-4-12 or at 1066mhz 5-5-5-15? Can you run Everest cache and memory bench? Good luck.

Anybody know where on this motherboard I can check vdimm with a multimeter? They seemed to have labeled everything (vcore, Vnb, Vtt, etc) except vdimm.

this board has Vdroop...relatively small for a dual core and within other boards that say they have load-line calibration...i recorded about 0.024v droop for my E8500 and just about double for my QX9650.

i have had this board since day one and am tired of the vcore adjustments and none of my ram (g.skill ddr2 1000, tracer 1066, ocz 1150) can come anywhere near their default speeds. so i give up. what is another really good overclocking board for an e0 dually? no gigabyte or asus, plse. so i guess this leaves dfi. which dfi (pcie 2.0 only) is the best for this? and no issues with hd4870 cf.

i have been trying to get my Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz to 1066 but can get passed 1050 and that with some voltage and fanss, this mobo loves the fsb but, can handle oced ram

i used GSkill ddr2 800 and it worked right up to about 1040 mhz for an E8500...you must not have the correct bios settings!
