Gonna sell my DFI board later this month and hopefully get this board soon after. I've always had good luck with Gigabyte boards, don't know why.
OT: Gar, is that a picture of you in your avatar?

my EP45T EXTREME is A3 as well
Got it a couple days ago, still waiting on my E8400 E0 though. One thing I found out is that a Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer will not fit vertically so the fan can blow the hot air out the back of the case. It did, however, fit horizontally so since I have a Antec 300 I'm in luck haha.![]()
What is the newest bios for this board, and if anyone has betas lets post em up for people, thanks.

Need a Gigabyte latest BIOS?
Z370 AORUS Gaming 7,
GA-Z97X-SOC Force ,Core i7-4790K @ 4.9 GHz
GA-Z87X-UD3H ,Core i7-4770K @ 4.65 GHz

2xSSD Corsair Force GS 128 (RAID 0), WD Caviar Black SATA3 1TB HDD,
Evga GTS 450 SC, Gigabyte Superb 720W
XSPC RayStorm D5 EX240 (Liquid Ultra)
NZXT Phantom 630 Ultra Tower
Win 7 SP1 x64;Win 10 x64
Well, I finally got around to installing this board. Here is my setup:
e8400
2 x WD 3200AAKS Sata2 drives
1 x WD 2500KS Sata drive
Radeon X1900XT 512mb
4 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 DDR2-800
Thermaltake 750W gamers PSU
Pros:
* lots of connectivity...tons of Sata and USB slots
* Layout and components are top notch
* BIOS is, as usual, fairly easy to follow
* IDE and AHCI mode working perfectly fine with Vista, unlike most Asus P5Q boards ( see this thread )
cons:
* S3 sleep mode does NOT work, as with most P35 and now P45 giga boards. I've upped Voltages with no good results yet. I'm gonna try to disable Load Line Calibration and see if that works (according to this article)
* Vdroop is more prevalent than on the P5Q series Asus boards. Not a big deal as you can always bump the power, but still.
* the front panel audio connecter is located in the most assinine location!
If I can solve the S3 sleep mode in Vista on this board, I'm hoping to keep it...it is a very good board.
Intel e8400 @ 4.21Ghz 24/7 (467fsb@1.29Vcore)
Asus P5Q-E mobo, 1406 BIOS
4x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 DDR2-800 @ 5-5-5-18 1:1
Sapphire Radeon X1900XT @ 690/792 3D
2 x 320Gb WD SATA for apps/data
1 x 320Gb WD SATA for backup
Scythe Infinity Heatsink
700W Thermaltake Toughpower PSU
Dell 2405FPW 24" LCD
mine will be here next week, can not wait that long. :S
Haven't bought any GA mobo for a long time for this reason alone, why can't they learn to write a proper BIOS with functional S3 till now?cons:
* S3 sleep mode does NOT work, as with most P35 and now P45 giga boards.
My recently bought super cheap low end Biostar G31 mobo does S3 just fine even when o'ced.
When somebody gets a chance if possible can they post up their bios settings for High FSB overclocks? Bench settings and 24/7? I know every system is different but it couldn't hurt to have something to compare to.

No S3? WTF.. my DFI does S3 all weekend while I'm gone.. at 456x9 with a Q6600![]()
i use a P35 Giga board as my 24/7 machine and you are right S3 doesnt work which kinda sucks![]()
This board does not like my memory, and likes it less then my P965 board that I replaced it with. With the Abit AB9 Quad GT I was stable at 456x9 and tested stable to about 461x9. This board starts rebooting while I am playing with bios settings at FSB 449. Below that its 100% stable so far.
Right now I am leaving Orthos small FFTs on for the night (2 hours now and still going with the following)
4005mhz (445x9)
Vcore: 1.256 -Vdrrop drops me to 1.184 and LLC is off
Cpu PLL 1.5
CPU Termination: 1.10
Mch 1.05
That's some nice low volts for that speed. I will need better memory to go higher it looks like. I tried everything to get stable at over 449 FSB. I lowered the multi to 6x, Mch 1.60, timings 7-7-7-20, Performance level 10, Trfc 68 and over-volted the Vdimms from 2.1 a few steps up. Nothing would do it for me. Couldn't get past post and when I did memtest86 would flood errors right away.
Anybody know good memory that could get me higher FSB then the Gskill PC2-8000's 2x2GB in my sig?

OK guys, a little update, got the board today, had about 2 hours to play around with it, so far, prime blend passes initially at 450fsb with 1.3 fsb and 1.3 nb voltage, 1.5 pll, but im having some problems at 475, i cannot get it to pass prime blend, here is the hard ware im using, anyone with similar setup give me a hand, using F5A bios

So far im loving the board, but 475 is not prime blend stable, ive tried a bunch of different settigns, this is at PL 10, im at 450fsb with PL8 performance seems nice, i might just stay here since in a couple of months im going to nehalem anyways, well see.
I have this motherboard too, and i love my results! This board is fantastic!!

I sold my DFI to buy this one and i made the best choice of my life!! I only received her on Thursday so i am still testing her! Till now i recommend it 100%
I got my board yesterday and popped in my QX6850 and zipped it up to 500fsb with just a few settings,.
I think this is going to be a fun board. QX6850 - 4Ghz @ 503fsb @ 1.4v after a few tweaks, i can't wait till i get some time
plus my Q9650.
