I have DDR2 800Mz wich i can run on 1Ghz stable on 2.1V. The funny thing is, i can only run it at 1Ghz when i do not oc my E8400.
When i leave the RAM Voltage on auto i can oc my CPU to 4Ghz resulting in my RAM running 890Mhz and that is stable and cool 14hrs stressed.
My E8400 needs 1.24/1.28V for this oc but i dont know how to manage the voltages for the cpu, ram,nb etcet.
At 4.2Ghz/910Mhz is a wall i cant pass, the system becomes unstable.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?
I would love to c reference settings for 500*9 for a e8400.

And why do i have "A" stepping in cpuZ? (Vista32bit)

Mine is an A as well. I have DDR2 8800 (1100mhz) and have similar issues. I can run the chip over 4.5Ghz as long as the memory is not on the divider that gives me near 1100mhz. However I can back down to 4.4 and run 1100 on the ram. Seems that as the CPU gets clocked higher the memory affects stability of the overclock. Havent found a solution but for me it's either 4400/1105 or 4520/9x0.
