Well, this is reassuring guys. If it's straight forward like that it will be just fine. Now I just can't wait until I get to play with one of those.

When the NDA lifts is under NDNDA

I should perhaps say that even though the platform feels stable, there is still some maturation needed, as always

Interesting images, I hope thats just a first edition of the board, and not final, really dislike the layout....

Who placed that CPU on top of socket? A it risky for the pins isnt it?

Well it is a hard ballance walk I think, and People breaking the NDA maskes event like this much harder for hold for Intel.

You would not belive how much breaking NDA and selling stolen ES cpu´s put a STOP to what Intel is trying to do here with events like this

Claiming no cold bug is VERY generalizing.
There has and will properly always be a coldbug. Question is how low it is

    2. Question is Can you Run above X Ghz even with the coldbug

The QPI bus is not going to be your main focus, but it's not hard if you want to.

You just should forget everything you've read at Fudzilla and TheInq about how this is done and what problems there might be. The stories about how Intel would lock overclocking through synchronized bus controllers in the CPU and northbridge, problems the synchronized voltages etc, they have just been a bunch of lies. I learned a long time ago to Ignore everything those places post. Even if they get something right they've overshadowed it with 100's of completely false and misleading info. It's really bad. Those places create more trouble for people. It's really shameful.

I've had a saying since I got into OC'ing years ago. I don't belive anything I hear (with the exception of officially released info), and only half of what I see. That half of what I see that I trust comes from people who obviously workd directly with this stuff and know it backwards and forwards. After release the benchmark screens start showing up, and then we can trust alot more info. These rumor mills only serve to confuse people, and will ultimately cause people to damage some very expensive hardware.

Those that take those places word and not go back and relearn from places like Xtreme Systems here are gonna tear up some really nice stuff. It really aggravates me when I think about it, because I think about how I would feel if I burned up some expensive stuff becasue of somebody writing stuff about something they knew absolutely nada about, but posted it like it was the Gospel and they had "inside info". Thank god there are places like this where people keep that trash from poluting people's minds.

Fantastic stuff guys, It looks like you all had a ball

Quick question.. Are you able to post a pic of the Rampage II insulated and prepared for sub zero? That looks hard to get it done right with that much crowding around the socket.

NDA is turning into a 4-letter word. Can you say if you were working on a pre-production stepping or a final stepping that will be actually launching?
