    I have the same Config. E8600 and 2x2GB CSX Diablos DDR3 2000.
@ Bullshooter Will get back to you soon as I've been installing base boards all day!! I posted my setting a few pages back and I find with the 4 gb kit I have to use the ram skew @ + 250 for A & B plus the NB REf +12.5 & Ram Vref +50 for both. Can't do what the 2 gb guys are doing. Nice run Zeus!! For 500 X 10 put more volts to CPU, PLL, NB, Ram @ 2.01 With LLC Enabled. If you are still on I'll try and post them again shortly when I get it fired up.

@ RLM Dood, I unplugged everything to install plinths, move furniture, etc and got your message when I fired it back up. Just did what you did and all seems ok.

Am also getting this error message when using the QX9650. But never had it when on the E8600. It is really annoying.

Thanks for confirming this, so at least we know it's just a bit of a quirk with the board.

If you're happy with your overclock and just want to make things a bit easier you can disable the F1 error option in your boot settings.

I hope this helps. I know it looks goofy & the volts are a little high but its been on now for 2 hours without a hiccup. I've tried to emulate what Zeus and the 2 gb guys are flying at and its just not possible for me. I'm now going to try lower ram timings about 1880 - 1900 because I can do 8 8 8 21 82 and hopefully get PL 6 which should be possible. I also have the CPU on Phase and its hovering @ -45 C Thank you LD!!!!

    All the best!!

Anyone tried this board with the q9450? I've just gotten it and can't seem to get it stable at any oc.. Have managed to start windows at 500x8 once, but didn't last long, but now i have problems even getting it stable at 400x8. I suspect i might be the RAM though. 2x2 GB OCZ (2000MHz). Can't even get close to the 2000 that ocz claims it should handle, but even at 1600 or lower it seems unstable..
Also, i can't even boot at 600 fsb (at x6). seems like i can't get the fsb out of this board as others do.. Really want to get this stable at 500x8, and the ram at 2000.. u guys think that should be possible?
    it's all watercooled btw.

I don't know about newer revisions, but those FSBs might be a bit ambitious for the Q9450. The fact you booted once at 500x8 sounds pretty good to me.

You'll see above your post Expat Griz has posted his bios settings. Use that as a template and fill out your settings. That way people will be better able to help you.

Ok, thx. Yeah, it booted fine, but after only a few seconds of prime95 it froze. only problem is i don't remember the settings i had when doing that :p and now i have real problems getting it stable at low oc as well. but, maybe i can copy Expat Griz' settings and try from there? except maybe the cpu voltage. 1,58V on q9450 can't be safe, can it? probably nb og ram voltages i have to adjust i guess. will try it when i get home from work.

have you D9GTR or D9GTS Chips on your CSX RAM?
I have D9GTS they are Build at 28/08.
The D9GTR are working better on this Board now i have 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 2000 CL9 Platinium XTC and they works very fine.
The NB Volt can go down and the RAM Volt the same.
    With your Settings no boot.

On their website the CSX Diablo is listed as D9GTR.

How are those Platinum's doing? What settings are you running?

Well, i gave up on trying to get the 2x2gb G-skill PI stable at anything over 1700mhz, and just for fun stuck my Supertalent projectX 2x1gb set in, which is much happier

Just debating whether to try some 2x2gb CSX diablo seeing as u guys seem to be enjoying it. Alternatively, how does this board manage with 4x1gb?

When I ordered my ram from HPM in Germany they were listed as GTS and thats what showed up, according to the sticker on the side. Haven't had the HS off but at that time they were listed as GTS. I see now that they are still listed this way...http://www.hpm-computer.de/product_i...00-DIABLO.html

Plus, when I ordered them they listed a different set of timings, one that included 1866 as max for Intel boards. I can happily report that is not the case. 2000, best I can do is 9 9 9 24, but this is what I'm goofing with now.

    Hey there....

    My setup is as follow:

    E8400
    Asus Rampage Extreme (bios 501)
2 x 1GB OCZ DDR3 PC16000 (SLI READY for what it actually means)
    EVGA GTX 280
    Antec 650 Trio

Vcore - 1.32 (more then needed)
    Vdimm - 2.1
    Memory divider - 3:5
    VTT - 1.32
    VNB - 1.7
The rest of the settings on AUTO.
PL9 but that was how it started up using AUTO settings.

Now with these settings I am Superpi 32M stable at 600FSB x 6. I can do an Aquamark, but testing other 3d using 3dmark 05 it would fail during the first game test. Not a full system hang, just artifacts (GPU not overclocked) and system hang before it will continue with funny colours. I've had a similar problem with my P5Q3 deluxe mobo as well, but it wasn't 32M stable at 600FSB so it didn't bother me too much. I did try setting PL11 manually, and running the memory at 1600mhz but didn't give me much more, then maybe a couple scenes further in the first game test of 05.

What could be the cause of these 3d bench failures?

I was testing the OCZ 1600mhz Platinums on the P5E3 Deluxe. Using a Q6600 I dropped the previous vcore from 1.48 to 1.42 for a 3.67ghz overclock. I ran small FTTs for just over an hour no issues and good temps. I then went to run blend and it failed after about a minute, if that.

I then tried loosening all timings, experimented with clock skews, bumped vdimm etc and the same blend would fail everytime after about 30secs to a minute or so.

Then I upped the vcore again eventually to 1.45v, and it ran blend for 3 and half hours before I finally stopped it. This surprised me a bit.

The reason I mention this is that you could think your cpu is stable, and then feel like your banging your head against the wall trying to get the ram stable, when what's needed is an extra bump in vcore.

    Just thought I'd share this.

With regards banging heads against the wall, still struggling to get a decent bench stable 4.5 ghz on this board. Also I'm a little sceptical of the bios temp readings. I know it's at partial load in bios, but I'm seeing 60+c, where as on the 790i I would see maybe 49c for a similar clock. If I touch the tubing or put my finger under the waterblock on the heatsink, there's no real heat. the air coming out of the rad is pretty cool as well.

Edit: I can't help but think, there's got to be a tweak, skew, gtlref or something that will make the difference with clocking these quads. maybe a bios update even. Where is that new bios anyway

Don't know if you commented on my post, but thanks in any case. I will try to up the vcore and see what happens. And I'll up the VTT a bit more maybe 1.4 or maybe a bit higher and see if it will help.

I still need to put the QX9650 in and see if I can get 450FSB stable.

my 2 4870x2 arrived today. now, they work quite fine on the rampage, don't know caused what the issue...
28-30°c average core temp should be ok too.

but one last thing is missing: decent ram which works well with the rampage...any recommendations? isn't that easy since i want a 4gb (4x1gb or 2x2gb) and 1800mhz (9x450) kit.
