Well, I just noticed a review of the 940 posted on the TPU forums (forgive me if this has been posted already, bloody huge thread):

Looking at that, perhaps that number is from 3DMark Vantage

Yeah it seems it's 3dmark vantage cpu score...Which has like zero connections with real world games.

Anyhow,Core i7 is showing as pre-order on many sites,here in CA and here in UK.In Canadian shop 920 model is priced exactly as 2.83Ghz Core2Quad 45nm Q9550.

Mobos are available for pre-order too .They are not exactly cheap at the moment,as any new stuff isn't when it is about to launch.

Maybe some don't know Gainestown can run on X58S, but Bloomfield can't run on X58D

This is old and copied from the Chinese. They've also misinterpreted TMPGenc numbers, where nehalem is actually slower.
