    Yet another question :P
When I'm overclocking i have the choice of raising the VCore from options such as 0.100, 0.150, 0.200, 0.250 ect ect. But once i have reached my desired overclock and want to go higher i have no clue how to raise the VCore. Since the options are limited i dont know if i am suppose to start raising it from the lowest option or start from the next highest option (from my current setting)

ex. right now i am at a Vcore of 0.300 but i want to raise it more so that i can achieve a higher overclock. Do i raise it by choosing 0.100V or do i go straight to 0.350 (or will that just triple the VCore, which is what i am afraid of?).

another question what is a better choice for a more stable overclock.
referring to the MCH GTL REF Voltage:
0.61VTT(the highest option) or do i go lower like 0.58VTT

    Regards

    Damian

You set 0.350. A simple way to explain the voltage options is lets say you have a CPU with a default voltage of 1.3v, selecting +0.350v means your vcore will be 1.65v.

ok thanks. I know the deal with voltages but i was just a bit confused on raising them with limited options.
so your saying to go for 0.350. Does that mean if my E7200 currently sits at 0.300 going to the next option of 0.350, it will only increase by .50?

No. Assuming the voltage options are showing you how much more voltage will be pumped from stock, final voltage will be 0.650.

alright alright one more time :P
im at 0.300 (1.4V, benching) right now to get a more stable overclock to maybe about 1.42V how would i go about doing so since adding 0.100 (the lowest) will give me 1.5V which is outrageous for a 45nm cpu

If he does not reply in the next few hours I'll just make a new thread, unless you just want to go ahead and do it, Ket. I'd go ahead now but am not quite sure where (general Intel?) to do it, especially since I lost my old 'thehinge' handle hence 'thehinge1' and look like a noob to the uninitiated.
keep it here...i think it is great.

BTW, i will be selling my board for $110 shipped in the lower 48 states...PM if anyone is interested...the only thing done to the board was the bolt mod & new paste for heatpipe and SB.

let me know...i think Ket lives in the UK?..correct?

EDIT:...if so, the cost to ship a 7 pound box to the UK will cost $37...i will take $12 off that since that would be my cost to ship here in the USA...SO...bottom cost for the board and shipping to the UK will be $135 USD total for the board.

    Ace-a-Rue,

What motherboard are you thinking of getting next? I think this one would be interesting... http://us.dfi.com.tw/Upload/News/US/arch500.jsp
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

Probably not a huge difference... and I doubt anyone could tell you what differences there are until somebody gets a v5.1.

    I have a v5.1
I think most people who recently bought this board do.
I'm not sure but I think that 5.0 was the dud and 5.1 was back to normal for this board??

Oh and does this board not support P4's yet???

If not, ket; I need that BIOS soon!! I wanted to get some P4 dice lovin this weekend!!!

The BIOS will come when I can test it I don't think the v5 board was a dud, if memory serves I seen plenty V5 boards doing mad FSB clocks. v4 or v4.5 something like that I think people were griping over though.

I'm gonna go pledge some money to the board, though my PP takes forever, os it probably won't help in time.
