Building a Sossaman rig?

yeah, i saw that on ebay (there were 2 or 3 iirc) but i didn't go for it because it's just the board, no i/o shield (who cares?), no cables (plenty of those around anyway), and most importantly, no heatsinks. the cost of getting the board and sinks shipped separately would have been a little less than what i paid, but i figured it's worth it to me for the extra couple dollars to get everything at once all brand new in box.

i guess wes already had the right heatsinks? i can't seem to find any info on a backplate for mounting the heatsinks. will i need to get one? i mean, i guess i'll find out in a couple days when the thing gets here, but i'm a little impatient...

Yep, the Dynatron I51 Heatsinks. The 'sinks come with backplates, like a TRUE does, only a lot smaller.

The 'sinks are a little more expensive than the stock intel ones as well, ~$40 with shipping.

OT: this would probably make a nice cruncher farm...

I've thought about doing a quad opty a few times. However, as Solid said, the chips are outrageously expensive. Just not worth the money over a Intel quad.
