Look guys I don't want to chase noone away, but this thread is getting very very large and the latest pages have been concerning your issues... not telling us anything new, even to me it seemed that True's contact completely misunderstood the situation : as he thought it was more a bios corruption issue and wasn't even aware True was referring to his CPU being damaged... and Lucifer are you going to tell us a zillion times you have the shutdown issue... plz do domething about it, take action , mailing will not help you, as most technical support staff don't even own a power computer,..., swap hardware try stuff and report back...
It would be easier for peeps with the same issue to share stuff as most will not go through a 162 page thread to find an answer... you guys look at my suggestion totally the wrong way... these threads hold great info but due to the enormous amounts of posts it's very very hard to find... I wished a moderator gave me the power to edit Big Joe's first post to add some of the info, tips and issues...
So Timothy look at your reply if the board and CPU work fine with 0803 , is your CPU damaged then ? NOPE your boards bios > 0803 messes up some routine or code which leads to instability... we had this with the Striker board where a firmware for the Nvidiot chipset was updated and brought many 65nm quad OC's to it's knees... reflashing to an earlier bios there didn't even help for some of us back then...
Lucifer have you popped the Cmos battery for some hours ? My Formula board had a bad flash and always rebooted after a succesfull windows shutdown otherwise it just hung at the windows shutdown screen... I see in ya videos there's still optimized in the cpu enhancement ... have you tried performance ? and plz man do a cmos reset after a flash...
You guys are way too angry with the current situation and take some posts (mainly mine) as a personal attack : which they are not !!! But take into consideration when you push hardware some things can break and that's the risk we all take... nothing lasts forever... also the Golden rule if it ain't broke don't fix it rule is always valid.... if 0803 works fine stick with it till the Bios department finds a cure or just removes it (can't Ket remove it ?)
Without LLC you might need about 0.08 more Vcore set in bios...

Saaya yupp, I agree
