It wouldn't be the first time the manufacturer has "disowned" something. I have an ATi vid card here (crappy old AGP2x thing, fleet model at that) that just does not exist in their database. They have older and newer, but not this one.

It's an 80plus efficient psu , which means at least 80% efficiency at 20% of 370w. 370w x 20% = 74w . Looks like a good match for such a low power system. I've also ordered a 4pin to 8pin adapter, just to be safe.
    370W is still overkill...

Dave said his Sammy pulled 117W from the Wall, and he was using some 600W+ PSU if I recall correctly, which couldn't even be remotely efficient in that range.

I think I'll use a PicoPSU, that should be enough to get the whole rig below 100W drain, as these tiny monsters can reach 92% efficiency at low loads.

    PCP+C 610 Silencer? A little overkill?

Hey, find the pll controller on that boad and lets see if we can do something with this..
Maybe make it actually generate enough heat to need a fan!
and lets find at least ONE pair of these 2167 chips to see what they do in real life!

Is that pinmod to FSB200 even supported, I mean, cause the mobo doesn't support FSB800 officially?
    Anyone even tried one yet?

waaaay ahead of u! - I *just* emailed another e-tailer I found by googling the part number - they say they have 13 in stock. Next to price, it said 'ask' - so I mentioned I bought 2x 2Ghz for $260 3-4 months ago... - heres to hoping!

I'll try anyway, can't be harder than unlocking Palomino Athlon XP's with glue, conductive silver and a magnifying glass, now can it

    Yes , it's overkill, I know.
But my calculations do make sense , no?
Should be in the 80+ efficiency range .

Sorry pal, I didn't get your calculations in the first place
We only know Dave's Sammy sucked 117W from the wall, that's with 2 harddrives if I remember correctly and that 600W+ PSU, of which we have no idea of its efficiency at such low loads, but guessing it's rather bad. On top of that, he's on 110VAC which is usually 2% worse than 220VAC efficiency-wise.
So there's no definite numbers to calculate here, we'll need to see and check for ourselves soon

hmm, i wonder if the ram timings will need some tweaking? if the ratio is locked, going from 166 to 200 will jump the ram from 100 to 120 (133). can ddr2 400 keep up at that speed?

    edit: corrected my terrible math!
Correct me if I'm wrong but DDR2-400 is 200 memory meant for a 800FSB yes?
This system at stock runs a 667FSB(166 memory) so I am assuming this is automatically setting a 5/6 divider. Now the question is does bumping the FSB from 667 to 800 release that divider?
remember that this is the same 7520 chipset used in the last prescott xeon dual boards that were native 800FSB.
Google Supermicro X6DA8-G2 for an example.
I also saw in the Intel white papers on the sossaman board that it was tested and verified at "up to 800FSB"

No, not always and trust me, there are many here that know a lot more than I do, just not many that know more on the sossaman than I do..
I put a lot of time into researching this system.
