I tried the pencil mod, and I never seemed to get a result from it... I'm positive I penciled in the right one, I did it pretty dark after increasing the darkness a few times.

I'll be getting this board hopefully this week; on it's way from CanadaNice to see a place to learn the ins and outs of it as I go!
Hello.
Does anyone now what could be the problem. I flashed my P5K-E with the 0602 bios and now the motherboard powers on, and that is all, the fans are spining, but no boot, i cant get into bios, nothing.
What can i do? It worked well until i flashed it with the 0602 bios, i did it becouse i hoped for a better OC, and now nothing.
any idea's?
Thanks.
Which CPU do you use?

E8500, do you thin that it dosen't support it?
Exactly. You should find older CPU and use it to flash BIOS back to newer version.

you are right. I inserted in a Pentium 4 CPU and in works now. So i guess back to a newer version of bios. Thanks a lot, mate.![]()
It turns out that with decent ram this P5K-E really shines. Currently Priming @ 485MHz FSB with my Quad and loving it.
Should be able to push for 500MHz+ for at least benching! Only thing over stock is MX2 on the Northbrige instead of the Asus goop.
Need at least 12xx bios for 45nm and for the absolute latest for the E0 45nm.

Hello many computer guru,
I am purchasing a 1.5TB HDD Seagate, and I am not sure if this mobo supports it. Does anyone know?
Also, this is OT, but I would set this additional drive as a slave? (compared to the 500GB i already have installed).
Thanks.

Well I got my board and am having trouble getting stable over 3.8. Does anyone have an e8400 that would be willing to share some stable settings they here? I know mileage vaires, but I'm still kinda new to OCing and would like some starting points.
