anything over say 475/480 for me is a no go no matter what multi it's all the same. Setting that are working for everyone else are not working on my board. WTF!

we need a modded Bios that defaults memory voltage to 2.15 for those with power hungry memory
Phil - With the E7200 and Reaper1150's I'm now at 475fsb/1140RAM on the shipping bios and OCCT stable, so I'll give 500 a go here in a bit & report back on my luck. I'm on the 8x multi at 3.808GHz/1.288Vcore(1.0875VID stock)/2.06Vdimm/1.5Vpll/roughly1.2V on both chipset and VTT.
The RAM timings are still pretty loose but this board feels much less 'stiff' than the 'E' did. I'd love to give the E0 8400 a go but the granularity of this board scares me with 'still fresh' chip.
and Goat - Is that terrier possessed or what?![]()

I dunno what I'm doing wrong if you hit 500 post up your setting would ya?

Attention!
Don't use 50k or 100k VR for Vcore mod. Default resistance between FB->GND is ~44,5k ohm, so I recommend 200k or 250k VR!

Vmods - what can possibly go wrong? ©
i think the problem is also selecting the correct DDR2 reconfigure setting.
i was fine on #3 at 555 FSB at 8x...as soon as i up the FSB to 560 and lower the multi to 7.5x the boot stuck on the windows XP bitmap boot screen with the scrolling bar just moving but never getting to the desktop.
i pushed re-set to enter the bios and then, i changed the the DDR2 reconfigure setting to #4...after doing that, it would boot just fine to windows desktop.
SO...changing multi's will change the dynamics of the memory & chipset latencies, apparently!...try making changes to the DDR2 reconfigure setting when you make changes to the multi and the system will not boot but it will post.

I just went around and printed out all the 500+fsb settings I could and am going to give them a shot, but they look alot like everything I've been trying. I just dont know what the hell is going on, is everyone using the 7/10 bios? I heard some got higher fsb on the 6/XX bios??
phill you have rev 5.1 right?
maybe it is your cpu? fsb wall??
are the rev 5.1 as bad as i hear?
not the chip it will hot 550 on my P35. gotta be the board.
any vdroop mod?
edit- ok sorry for not doing a search. can be found here

i can do up to 550 FSB at 8x using moderate timings and PL=10, that is at DDR-1110; my memory is rated to DDR-1142...if i move the FSB to 555, i have to loosen all the timings and set the 'PL' to 15...it is only way where i can run the 3d benches...currently i am 560 FSB (4485 Mhz on a E8500) running Wprime.

Just picked this board up yesterday, it's definitely going to take some getting used to with the DRAM RCOMP settings and voltage incrementation method (selecting the amount over/below default rather than the actual value compared to my Asus boards), but it's nice so far not having to mess with VMCH and VTT too much. What do you guys think I can get out of my E6300 and the I45?

i think your 3DMark 2006 score is out of whack for a single core video card...your memory settings are probably not correct and then the score will show higher since the bench colors and FPS are out of whack...it happened to me the same way...i scored 18K+ with a single 9800 GTX card.
here is what i am talking about:

ok...i settled on 550 FSB...i can go as high as 560 FSB but not every bench runs stable...i use the three 3D video benches and AQM3 bench; plus Super PI
here is the best i can do for 3D2006:

I used both but just recently after using the pencil mod my droop has increased from .03/5 to .1v thats not good, I suggest the hardmod myself.
My board crapped out today. Ive had my eye on this for a while. I just have a couple of quick questions. How is the onboard raid? Would I see that much of a hit in performance with crossfire with the 8x/8x speeds?
