I'm almost SURE That Turbo changes some settings if everything is set to auto.

On the old BX chipset, Turbo and F1 and Speedracer, besides standard, were the settings available, and each one affected certain subtimings that you couldn't change manually. But those worked with manual cas latency settings; setting F1 stopped my board from booting at any higher FSB. Pretty sure Turbo does something similar here; maybe related to auto settings, probably unimportant. I never saw any difference with a 65nm cpu, at least with 1M spi....

Thank you all for your input. Now I can boot with no problems @ 400 fsb and it seems stable but it's still early to say if it's 101% or not

Do you think this MB can be rock stable @ 400 fsb with a E8600 for 24/7 usage? Or shall I wait a bit more and then upgrade both MB and CPU at the same time?

Can't say why it wouldn't be stable with E8600. I'm running my board at 400MHz with E7200 and I've never experienced any problems. My board was stable even at 450MHz, but I can't say the same about CPU It's still fast and great board. I want to buy second HD 4850 and CrossFireX both cards. What do you think about it? I usually play at 1600x1200.
