You did some really great sleeving! How did you keep track of all the 24 pin mobo connector pins?

Also, those EK D5 tops are sweet! I really liked using it in my build as it took up less room and allowed for compression fitting...good stuff.

Lastly your "B" made out of compression fittings cracks me up! Talk about free advertising! I've been really pleased with compression fitting and elbows from them though...good stuff....

Can't wait to see more pics!
    hi Mark! thanks man.

i usually take a picture of the pins before i take them out of the molex. then i'd just view them again to make sure i put it back correctly.

yeah, that's the main reason why i got the ek d5 top... to put compression fittings on them. but i can only use comp fitting on the intake.good enough though.

haha. bitspower power. good thing it's the same letter of my nickname. else i'd be a full-pledged fanboy. but hey, gotta love their stuff and that dragon logo is cool!

And it's getting better each time you post more pics :P

Glad that you sad that the EK top doesn't fit the UN Design bracket, i've got the bracket for my MCP655. It isn't a big deal because we are modders because we want to mod everything

Great job on the sleeving With kinda sleeving are you using? The MDPC stuff of something else? I'm sleeving my SATA cables to but I don't have the right size for the shrinktube.

    thanks Zw_Roodbaard!
haha. touche! unfortunately, noob jitters - i didn't want to ruin the un design bracket nor the ek d5 top. so i just went another way instead in mounting the pumps.
for the sleeves, i used the techflex from ppc. i only got to know about the mdpc stuff after i have the techflexes with me. for the sata cables, i used the 3/8" sleeves and the 18mm heatshrinks (only because i didn't get the plugs off... :P)

Hmm when I see those ViperJohn ViperCheck Flow Indicators I'm thinking of buying me one These look really sharp with the red LED.

Thanks for the answer about the sleeving, I will have a look at PPC.

    bianco,

And you say that you're not an expert, and that computer building isn't really your hobby....

You have skills I wouldn't dream of having. Kudos.

    redvolutionized corsair dominator airflow

something i picked up from the masters here in xs...

taking the normal corsair dominator airflow ram fans

    disassembled

    new fans

    fans installed

    side with cables

    top with the unsoldered cables

    screws re-painted black

    finished product(?)

since i acquired a soldering iron lately... now single cable for all fans

haha. yeah xs original. just borrowing ideas.
i wasn't really planning on having ram coolers. i only used the dominator airflow for about a week.. then ditched them because it was interfering with the true120black that i relied on before the project. but when i saw this mod on xs... mod ramcoolers - added to the to-do-list! haha..

    bianco,

So.. really... expecting a child next month... and simultaneously building a computer...

First of all, the drug market in SG must really be flourishing.. great demand eh? Gotta do what we gotta do to fund the computer abyss

Second, you're going to finish building the computer and then let it fold, correct? Because the next time you are going to see your computer is six months later lol I went through the baby thing four times, so I know you wouldn't be using the machine lol

    hi Ian!

yup, second child and first son. heir to the cartel. haha. continue the family business.

i'm hoping i can finish the build before my bday next week. but i don't think it's possible (especially with the f1 coming!)... so now my aim is to have it finished before my wife gives birth! haha. sooner would be better so i can refresh on my newborn-diaper-changing skills! :P

that's right! let this machine fold! make up for the lost time. haha. wow 4 times! quite productive! gratz man. hhaha. i think i'll stop at 2, already a complete set anyways.
