IF I have a PCI card 2mb for testing.
The 4850 BOOT perfect, but is not recognized by any command atiflash, nor in xp. I think my 4850 is dead for all software.

I ask in the post post#921, if there was any way to clear the bios , bypassing pins on some integrated, as in toward the X1900.

    thanks ........

if I have to make new post, please moderators move the post, but the truth I am very desperate, how to save my 4850,
I think that as this is a post for experienced users, maybe I can help faster and better. I'm sorry for my bad English

Don't sweat it this thread is fine. Did you try Winflash? boot up and in windows use winflash to flash to a stock bios first. then after reboot windows should see the card. also there is a thread at TechPowerUp about how to recover from a bad flash.

here you go. use this. http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...h_2.0.1.2.html make sure you have an original bios. if you need one get it from techpowerup vga bios archive.

if I have downloaded, but not to run it opens, does not recognize any ati card, why not open the program.

I think the only solution is some integrated bridge pins :-(

    Exclamation

A friend is sending me his card. He was having some corruption after putting on an aftermarket HS, so he decided to remove it. Problem is he epoxied the RAMsinks on and he tore off two of the chokes!

The chokes are in pretty bad shape. Does anyone have a blown card, any spare chokes, or a link to where I can get some replacements? I'm going to try to fix it for him.

    Thanks!

Get the part number and order it from the electronics shop...that's your best bet.

Did Vcore and Vmem mods on my Gigabyte HD4870. Theres a problem. The card doesnt go over 1,5V VGPU under load. I can easily turn over 1,5v on idle but under load it still drops to 1,5V.
    OVP at 1,5V?
Any possible OVP mod for HD4870?

sorry, again I remain with the problem .....
someone can tell me which is integrated in order to clear the bios to install wrong.
I think the only solution is to make the bridge pins which saves the integrated bios.

    thanks !

What's a safe voltage to push the vram to? Right now I'm at 2.28v (measured from the measuring point). Is this already too high? Thanks.

On which card? And what kind of RAM on the card? 2.075v seems to be the sweet spot for most on the 4850's w/ Qimonda RAM.

cka3o4nuk, please do a good macro from that PWM regulator IC (the most right IC on Your first pic). And don't use flash-light.
