I'm not stable at stock either. That was caused by flashing to the 1306. Troublesome bios for me I must say.
Try one of ket's mBios. Best thing that ever happened to my board.
vCore is the same but I shaved of 0.1vtt, 0.04vPll and 0.1vDimm.

    Thanks in advance
Leeghoofd prolly has some. But they are here and there in this thread.

would I be right in thinking. If all fans and everything spins up but the gpu then there is a short maybe from the screws to the water block touching the case. Only just installed new CPU. Could this be the case only had it started 1 time since new CPU. Can't wait to get home and try this see if it is. Anyone give me some hope that my system will work

OK, I set everything back to Auto in the BIOS, except vNB which I bumped to 1.26V. Transaction Booster is on Auto. If set to Manual, it shows PL 05 and all pull-ins disabled. However, the readings beneath say LVL 13 and Memtest says I have Performance Level 10. I'm not an expert and I'm so not getting this.

System is unstable again on stock: OCCT errors out in merely 7 seconds after the first idle minute. Everest Stability Test fails after 1 minute, but NOT when I have "Stress cache" disabled. 2 threads of Prime95 for quads error out in under one minute of Blend. I haven't even tried Linpack because I know what the results are going to be.

What do I do now ?

LE: Cliffy, I've always had LLC enabled.

CPU temps kinda high. Show Everest temps please. How come cpu-z shows wrong core speed ? Have you disabled C1E and speedstep and the rest of that crap?

@ rusty: I know that temps are high, I'll have to find some time to reseat my Tuniq. The newest RealTemp and Everest asume a TjMax of 100, so they both show the same temps. At 3.4 GHz, running Linpack, cores reach 72°C max. (room temp. ~30°C) and the difference between cores is 2-3°C max. Is that too hot ?

I tried disabling C1E and SpeedStep, but that had no impact on stability, so I reenabled those features.

right first off get that heatsink resitted. Then set your ram 1.1 not 5.6 check cpu-z for this to make sure it's set right plus what is your rated ram speed and voltage find them out you will need them then get back to us. Plus your ram should both be in the black slots on the mobo for best results

For me it's perfect fine. You still have 28°C distance to TJMax and beside that in real-life (a.k.a. games) you'll have 8-10°C less.
If it ain't broke... fix it until it is.

burebista, nice to see you here!

Well, I tried increasing vTT, vPLL, vcore, vDIMM, vNB and even vSB. I set Performance Level to 12, then 13. I even uninstalled SixEngine. Nothing seems to work, the system isn't stable at 2.83 GHz. I'm going to climb back to 3.4 to see if I'm stable again, as I was before.

    Any other suggestions ?

Ok...question... and if its a stupid one, I apologize in advance...

NB GTLref is a percentage of the NB voltage right? Which is (obviously) different than the CPU voltage which is based off the VTT.

While I was climbing back up to stable 3.4, I forgot to stop and reached 480 x 8.5. The only things I changed in BIOS are: vcore 1.26875 (I forgot what it was in CPU-Z), vNB 1.30, vDIMM 2.02, disabled SpeedStep.

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=418216

I'm sure I could go past 500 FSB even with 8.5 multi, but I'd have to tweak other voltages.

I'm using 0803. I did try 1103, but that was a weird one, nothing would prove stable, and cores were randomly failing. So I went back to 0803. Haven't given 1306 a chance yet.

    PL (performance level) = tRD

It's a timing concerned with the northbridge. The lower the number it is set to, the better the performance.

/1200mhz ram like the other Deluxe... only thing is that the LLC function is not overvolting here but a bit undervolting compared to my other board...

1.225 set in bios is 1.21 under idle/load... (bios 0803 out of the box)
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Yep they are, E8400 runs at 8 x 500FSB/1200mhz ram daily

Did a quick linpack test with 400FSB on the new mobo :

I originally meant 2x2 at that bus and divider, not 1x4. Outside of benching i.e. Prime blend stable-24/7 ops. Anyone doing this? Asking because of several reports of issues @ those settings.
