    Quick question.

    Just switched to a Q9650, upped vcore alittle, and started prime95,

    failure is in the form of reboot. no red individual core failures, just reboot.

    Has anyone run into this and how did you solve it.

    Very strange and repetable.

    I've ran into that before, It was either NB or VTT voltage that was the issue.
    My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
    Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....

    Build XT7 is currently active.
    Current OS Systems: Windows 10 64bit

    Usually its VTT or vcore. If NB is too low, the system freezes.No BSOD, no prime errors, just hard freeze. This is from my experience with S2E.

    Turned out to be a funky chip, (boxed and everything).

    Exchanged it for a new one, (vid dropped from 1.250 to 1.225).

    This chip behaves as it should.

    Thanks tekjunkie and Trigger5521 for the settings

    I'll give 'em a shot over the next couple days....really can't wait to get outta' work now

    I'm really having a hard time with mine....since the spring....

    Side thought: I was somewhat concerned and now I'm relieved....my "CPU Level up" field in BIOS disappeared a long time ago (don't remember which rev. bios killed it) but, I see both you guys' is missing too....not that I used it, just that it was weird, one day I just noticed it missing.

    @Erikz: Another side thought: I got a Q6600 doing 450 x 8 on a 680i Striker for over a year now....just a hunch, but I would think you should be able to do something similar on 790i.

    Hi,

    I am new to this forum and have been reading through the various threads relating to the Striker II Extreme.

    I have been trying to overclock my rig but have not had much success, I first tried these settings;

    Code:
    Extreme Tweaker

    CPU Level Up = Auto
    Memory Level Up = Auto
    CPU Multiplier = 10
    FSB (QDR) Frequency = 1600 (400)
    Mem (DDR) Frequency = 1600 (800)
    LDT Frequency = 5x

    Memory Timing Section

    P1 = Auto
    P2 = Auto
    tCL = 9
    tRCD = 9
    tRP = 9
    tRAS = 24
    Command Per Clock = 2T
    tRRD = Auto
    tRC = Auto
    tWR = Auto
    tWTR = Auto
    tFAW = Auto
    tRD = Auto
    tRTP = Auto
    tRFC = 60
    tREF = Auto

    Over Voltage

    CPU Voltage = 1.35v
    Loadline Calibration = Enabled
    CPU PLL Voltage = 1.6v
    CPU VTT Voltage = 1.3v
    Memory Voltage + 1.8v
    NB Core Voltage = 1.40v
    SB Core Voltage = 1.50
    CPU GTL_REF0 Ratio = Auto
    CPU GTL_REF1 Ratio = Auto
    CPU GTL_REF2 Ratio = Auto
    CPU GTL_REF3 Ratio = Auto
    DDR3 CHA1 Ref Voltage = Auto
    DDR3 CHA2 Ref Voltage = Auto
    DDR3 CHB1 Ref Voltage = Auto
    DDR3 CHB2 Ref Voltage = Auto
    Upon booting into Windows it bluescreened so I upped the CPU Voltage to 1.4 volts. Again did the same when booting into Windows, I then dropped the multiplier to 9 it got to the logon screen I put in my password and as the Windows loading sound went to play it bluescreened.

    I have run Memtest for a few hours and on ever pass it was successful even with the recommended memory timings.

    CoreTemp shows the VID as 1.2375v.

    Any help would be gratefully received.

    Thanks!

    Hmm. never paid attention to it. Also, I was able to reduce the Vspp to 1.42 and did a prime run of 9 hours no problem. Next is to see how much low of a PLL I can go
