Well, I have X3210 (E8400) wich did take 620MHz on GA-EP45T Extreme easily but with this TPower I45 that CPU wo'nt do even 500MHz.
Memory is Axeram 2x1GB kit wich did 1200MHz on Asus Rampage Formula CL5.
    What to do?

Solar, have you tried to lower the GTL from 0.67 to 0.63 or 0.61?
0.67 is a bit high for a 45nm cpu... maybe you could go upper by lowering them!

i tried that today .. lowering them makes my system more unstable..hehe dont worry im not using there settings 24/7 just for short benching sessions

    Prime 95 For 9+21

    i like this one...small FFT's for 9 hours and 21 minutes.

here's the weird thing about this board...i tried 9x multi and left everything the same...i touched nothing other than multi..booted into windows and attempted Prime 95...all four cores dropped offline almost immediately...made sense at 4365 mhz.

so, i kept lowering the FSB at 9X until i reached the same Mhz as i had at 8.5X with 485 FSB...guess what!...it would not hold all four cores...again, all the bios settings remained the same except for multi and FSB..go figure that ONE!!!

that is exactly what you should do...give yourself some headroom while trying to find the best settings to hold the upper most limit of FSB and MHZ

take MCH GTL REF out of auto once over 450 FSB...use either 61% or 64%

If you lowered the fsb and picked out the same/similar Memory Mhz it may have switched to a different divider?

i had it on 1:1...nothing changed other FSB, Multi and of course, a lower memory Mhz....definitely the bios needs a a lot more refinement but i am not sure if Biostar is up to the task.

I guess I misunderstood what you were saying... So in this third sentence you ran 9x458 at DDR2-916 and it still failed? I do agree with you that Biostar need to work on improving the BIOS.

Goat Eater, can you try a diff cpu? You're not getting very far into the boot seq.. If you're sure it's fine then ignore this post.

i did try them but i could not use them in DDR2 RCOMP Configuration 4 witch in my case seems to be the key to getting higher fsb..
    i had a pair of these: http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...c28000cl4.html

ran some 3dmark 01 today just to test how well this board handles 3d benching.. i know that my E8600 isn't really good.. but i was able get 5.9ghz stable in 3d (btw witch is 50 mhz better than what i was able to get with my Asus maximus 2 formula..) i used my beautiful naked 2 stage cascade to cool the cpu down

I'm curious... just how high a FSB were you able to obtain using any RCOMP Configuration with your Rhino D9GMH and 1/1 divider? I have some Kingston HyperX PC2-9200 and some Patriot Viper Extreme PC2-9600 that I can't seem to run much over 500fsb and it has been puzzling me.

well those rhino sticks that i got +OCZ DDR2 PC2-9600 FlexXLC sticks would both hit the wall around 590fsb cos i wasn't able to use them in RCOMP Configuration 4 or 2 witch seem to work best with me..
maybe there is something else holding you back ?? those sticks that you have are pretty good afaik
