    GTX 260 - D-Tek GFX 2 GT200 adaptor, results.

I picked up a D-Tek FuZion GFX 2 VGA Waterblock for my GTX 260. It kind of sucks because I just purchased an MP-01 for my HD4870s that kept dying. However, there is a new bracket for the FuZion to mount it on the GT200s (http://www.petrastechshop.com/dgfx2nv200se.html). One is coming for the MCW-60 soon.

I ordered the bracket from Petras and the block elsewhere due to stock issues. The blocks are already shipping with the GT200 bracket - but it was a good thing I had extra parts because the screws with springs they give you are just retarded. One popped off across the room - gone. Another one was missing the screw, just the spring was there. I managed to get everything mounted with the water block but I'm having a hell of a time getting the damn ram sinks to all stay on. Usually they are easy to knock off - but having so many on the card doesn't help, you cannot touch the card without losing a few. Then the VRMs I had to cut down some sinks that would fit in a few of the tighter spots.

Its too bad no one is selling after market VRM sinks yet for the GTX 280/260 line. The D-Tek unisink is nice but OOS everywhere and the unreleased GTX 280/260 Thermalright cooler comes with some nice sinks and VRM hardware but thats not even available yet.

Anyways - I'm wondering if you really even need ram sinks and VRM sinks, my 8800GTX ran so cool and a few people I know didn't even bother to sink their memory on the 8800GTX. Even running it overclocked had no issues. The other nice thing to see was the GT200 bracket already shipping with the D-Tek GFX 2 VGA block. I'll get some pics up later, had to leave for work without finishing - which really pisses me off - but thats for another rant.

Has anyone else water cooled a GTX 260 or GTX 280 like this yet? With a non FC block and sinks? Just wondering what kind of temps / airflow needed for the memory / vrms.
