if you have a real need to stop this, then i would suggest starting with the 'tech guys' who know all about HT's and so on, on the big review sites tomshardware, extremetech, and so on, who still use this term.
then we might not have people being confused about this, when they enter the forum.
there is a long way to go, and will get even more confusing when Intel start this change as well (eventualy)
