MY School has a HAAS VF-6TR but I think they might notice if it goes missing. Plus I am not sure I can fit it in my Trunk

We have a Dimension Elite 3D Printer for rapid prototyping. It uses ABSplus which is nice since it is a little stronger and handles extreme temps better.

I need some good render SW since AutoCAD 2009 is OK, but not great.

rapid protoytyping is awesome, just not when they go wrong... its like plastic tumble weeds lol

im not sure if there any good stand alone rendering systems as complex as maxwell render

theres flamigo (sucks) POVRAY (sucks) and few other ones you can try..

With my MM Ascension build (Project Crazyness) going on right now I am sure I will have to sneak into the labs a few late nights.

The other other non-school projects I have done in the labs are designing a small bar in AutoCAD and using the plotter to make GIANT templates so my friends could cut the panels easily with a lot or trouble.

It is good to see school funds at work

Maxwell does support solidworks directly, visit there site

as for Orings, yeas some tine intricate, generally because there just dreamed up
but if you base your designs upon a Oring then you will never need to worry
about weather or not you will have a oring for it. the channels are slightly larger to accept compression and as well as the depth of the channel

if you've applied for the demo they will link you to your necessary plugins

then you would be able to use Maxwell within solidworks
